We ended up walking out. Sat at the bar, I was wearing a tye dyed t shirt with blonde hair up in a pondy tail, boyfriend was in a green hat so you know who we were.
We watched people who are in after us get their food before us. We watched the employees move food from one plate to another before taking it to different tables (eggs were moved from one plate to another, then the food was delivered to completely different tables). It was gross. Once I noticed people who came in after us get their food before ours and that almost 40 min went by we walked out without getting our food. Sorry I didn't pay for my coffee.
Edited to add that we always look forward to dining here and truly enjoy our experience every time but this is disgusting, we had gone on a nice morning hike and were there for 40 min without getting our food. The bigger guy was sweating everywhere and complaining to everyone saying that they weren't that busy and for everyone to calm down. Very sad because we've never had a bad experience...

My aunt and I thought she was unlocking the door but came to find out she was in fact either locking it or making sure it was locked. There was a handwritten sign on the window facing the road that we had missed saying they were only doing pickup orders till 11pm and basically if no one liked it to grab an application.
Waffle House used to be the go to late evening, late night stop. For a location to be closed to dine in orders during second shift is mind-boggling at best.
