Our research leads us to believe the laws of the State of Ohio allow dogs in restaurants, even non-service animals, especially outside. In addition, it appears Ohio does not provide or require a license or certificate for service dogs. My wife and I, senior citizens, were staying at the clean and dog friendly Hilton on the other side of the parking lot where we were told dogs were welcome at that restaurant. We were tired and very hungry after 10 hrs on the road and this restaurant had a large outdoor eating area that was mostly unoccupied when we arrived at 8pm. It was not crowded and I sat quietly outside in the far corner at least 25 ft from anyone. Our dog has K9 Good Citizen Certificate and a Service Dog identification on its collar, and I have the identification card in my wallet.(even though not required in Ohio) The manager was told by my wife that we have the dogs collar tag and ID card but she declined to look at it and said we must leave if they do not have a vest on. The dog has been highly trained in obedience, Search and Rescue and tasked with Hearing Alert as I rely on gestures. I suffer from severe tinnitus and loss of hearing so I could not hear when the restaurant manager was telling my wife. But my wife indicated to me that I had to get up and leave because there was no dog vests. We did not eat that night and walked back to our hotel. We researched the issue when we arrived in the hotel and affirmed our belief that vests, whether on, or not on the dogs, is irrelevant to enforce federal law. Our dogs vests in Tupperware in the back of our pick up truck, because having traveled almost every state in the country, numerous times, we have never had an issue, in fact, every restaurant has been very kind and accommodating. Why was the manager of this restaurant unnecessarily cruel, especially considering that our dogs clean, friendly and well mannered and we were sitting outside away from anyone, and vests are not...
Read moreUpdate, I visited on 3-11-25 with a friend. All the wait staff was very nice and friendly. We started out with a great waitress but a big group of 18 came in and she forgot about us. We had to have a manager get is a to go box, chase her down for our bills which she put together and never asked any different. I had the manager get a drink menu because she brought the bills never asked of We wanted anything else. So she did end up taking my order for that. I love the outdoor patio, very relaxing. However, I think their food prices are outrageously high for what you get. I got a meat lovers flat bread pizza 13 bucks..Perhaps other items are worth it...Places like this in times that we are in, will buckle because it's too much for families and individuals to do often. A friend and I visited on 11/20/20 for lunch. I used to be a big fan of this place. I frequented the location in Englewood alot. They had the fast break wings and salad and it was very good at a good price. They don't have that anymore and I feel the prices have gone sky high but the food is not as good. The Quesadilla need a major upgrade to it. I told my friend how I felt and told him today was my last time going to either location. The drinks are weak as well but still the prices are high. For a Quesidilla and fries for right at $14.00 is crazy. And it was like half of one. I rather spend that somewhere that's deserving of that 14 bucks. The waiters are nice and attentive though. They need to change something's or this Covid will put them out...
Read moreThis is a 1 of 3 reviews for an overnight trip… went to a concert at the Rose Music Center and it was all a great experience… staying at the Tru by Hilton was a perfect trio with TJ Chumps all in walking distance..!
We were a little worried about time because TJ Chumps was busy… we checked in with the QR code at the front door… this system was nice because you received a text and could even see where you were in line… when we were 12 it did not help our worries… however I do not believe we waited 15 minutes… the restaurant is geared to be a sports bar I would say similar to Roosters…
Our server Kyrcee was phenomenal… she checked on us multiple times and had plenty of tables around us… the food was pretty standard for bar food… breakdown of food below cheese sticks marinara runny but not bad Good tea brewed and drink unsweetened, Fountain Dr Pepper was standard… Chicken finger basket fries honey mustard was all pretty standard… Pound of wings ordered with mild on side but as you can see they came tossed… our server noticed and was going to take them back but we decided to have them how they came… they were ok 6/10 ranch was standard… Pork chop sandwich was not bad but dry… don’t really want to say over cooked but it was tough… the sauce that it came with was ok… fries were standard.
Pricing again standard at least it was not over priced for bar food… we plan on trying to go to more concerts here so we will be back… hope to try other foods too and hopefully we can find something that pops out but overall still a 10/10 for the trip to...
