Crappy service, long wait time, snippy attitudes, absolutely no help whatsoever. All employees were chitchatting and seemed annoyed they were interrupted. Had been talked into trying a different cable box over the phone and promised it only needed to be plugged in - didn't work with the tv so called customer service back and they told me to return it to this store for a traditional box. Employees were extremely rude, threw the box with the returned item on a shelf (and couldn't locate it later). Claimed they couldn't see the box in their system and couldn't replace it. Called customer service back while in the store and they verified it was in the system. Another employee in the store tried to find it in the computer again and again couldn't. Told to get out of line while waiting on hold with customer service again while at the desk to try to sort it out. Ended up with customer service sending a maintenance technician to the house while the store employees were extremely rude and dismissive of the problem. Asked for the original box back and had to look for it myself, employees were no help and couldn't even find where they had thrown it. They never should've taken it in the first place without checking if it was in the system.
Godawful experience, felt completely dismissed and disregarded as it "wasn't their problem it wasn't in the system" despite verifying multiple times with the corporate customer service that it was and that this should not have been a big deal to swap the boxes. This lady tells me (after taking all the cords off the cable boxes) that she can't take the equipment because it's still showing active on my account. I told her that the cable is disconnected and not showing active on my end. She proceeds to turn the screen around to show me that the 2 cable boxes are showing in red and disabled. I said ok, that should mean it's not active. She's still telling me I cant return the equipment because it won't let her. She then stated that I will need to call customer service.
