I don't usually write any reviews, but, in this case I feel like I need to share my experience with the rest of you. What a horrible place this hotel is. I would rather have root canal than stay here for a night. We booked the hotel probably a month in advance. When I asked how far away the ocean was from the hotel, I was told - just across the road. Well, our rooms were located literally on the intersection. Yes, 10 feet up and 10 feet left from the room. It is more like a motel, not a hotel quality. Not for $200 per a room a night, for sure. 50 degrees outside and no heat or extra blankets. Warm water was running during certain time a day. One of our rooms smelled like an ashtray. The breakfast was in a tiny corner of the reception area. Just a few muffins and fruits that you had to carry to your room across the parking lot. So, after freezing our butts for 2 nights, we decided to check out a day earlier. The guy behind a counter was so angry, it looked like he was ready to punch me in a face. Great service, right? Gets even worse. The manager of the hotel told me about a 7 day in advance cancellation policy, "its hotel policy" he said. How was I supposed to know this place sucked? All we wanted to do was check out, we explained our dissatisfaction to the management and was promised the head manager was to get back to me next day. It's been almost a week, and they had no decency even to call. We lost almost $400. I wonder why should we comply with their terms if the hotel didn't deliver their promises? Not even: let me see what can I do. This hotel is not what they advertise. The ocean is not across the road. It is a 10 mins walk close to a curvy road with flying cars. The service sucks. The bathroom is 4 X 6 ft. You can't even open a door without hitting a toilet. The beds, mattresses, pillows - horrible quality. The hotel always has vacancy. Now I understand why. We will be filing a lawsuit to get our money back. Maybe this way they will get a message not to treat people the way they do, not to mislead with the faulcy ad. So, the bottom line -get another hotel. You deserve better than Nantasket hotel at the beach.
