Ritter Park — Attraction in Huntington

Ritter Park is Huntington's most popular park and one of the best things about living here. It has a 1 mile flat walking path around the main park. The path extends west along Four Pole Creek for about 2 more miles. The path is perfect for casual strolls or fitness walks and runs. Ritter Park is also a popular place for local bicycling enthusiasts to begin and end long training rides. The park also features a modern playground for kids, a great tennis facility on 12th Street, a famous Rose Garden on 8th Street, a brand new picnic shelter near the 12th. Street entrance (built in late 2016) and a new restroom facility scheduled for construction near the new picnic shelter in early 2017. I love to visit Ritter Park in the Beautiful little City of Huntington, West Virginia. I really appreciate all the hard work that the Huntington City Parks department does keeping the park very clean and attractive to all of the visiting friends and family we all have that come from all 50 state's to enjoy the natural wildlife and nature that Ritter Park has to offer , with such breathtaking viewing area's of the Rose Garden and all the other viewing area's the park has to enjoy. The children have a great playground area and the entire park has very nice sidewalks to walk around the entire park as well as jogging, bikes are welcome anytime also.
