On a visit to the area, a friend of ours suggested that we have a chat over drinks at there favorite local spot. We loved it and look forward to sharing its location with our family and friends that live in Huntington.
Upon walking we were treated as locals. The atmosphere is quaint, it's a small shop made larger with attached containers. The bathroom is in the house behind the seating area, clean and newly spruced up. They have roof top seating on the front container looking over Huntington streets. Noticing we needed time to go over the menu the staff let us be and read. My wife ordered a London Fog and I had a hot chai latte. Being from Florida, temps in the 50's are cold, I needed a warm beverage. They were good. We arrived before our friend, knowing then , we wouldn't be able to buy our drinks if we hadn't been early. They knew the menu and the staff were ready for their regular drink, not on the menu. Our friend felt compelled to treat us to something, a local trait of hospitality grows while in this city. I had the savory muffin, such a nice invention. Very delicious and full of flavor without being dry.
We did pull in the wrong way. Some signage for the none locals would be helpful and a great...
Read moreI have tried to give this place a chance multiple times. The service is good but the menu is not. I got a breakfast sandwich that for one tasted very badly. I open it up and the avocado is dark brown. That means its old and should not be used. The spinach looked old, and this was the second bad experience i have had here. I understand this is a coffee shop but don’t add food to your menu if you can’t serve it to you customers fresh. Theres a high chance this place could make you sick. They need to work with their staff to make sure they are storing food the correct way, as well as not serving food thats been left out. Food thats served this way has had bacteria growing on it that can make someone sick. Make this place purly a coffee shop or fix your food on your menu. Even if your sandwich is $4.00 that shouldnt happen. Make it better and raise the price . You would probably get...

As a lover of Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks, I assure you Grindstone is the superior go-to spot to hit for coffee and breakfast: it hits the spot better. 🙏🏼
Even if you’re traveling, and an exit-ramp DD is tempting in its convenience, going a few extra minutes out of your way for Grindstone is so worth it. Nearly every menu item is at least a dollar less here than there (and def more than the expensive Starbucks).
Grindstone quality far surpasses anything you would find at a corporate coffee shop/breakfast/brunch place. The people that work there are super friendly, enthusiastic, polite, accommodating, and seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. Especially love that they serve vegan/non-dairy milk (oat 🤙)!
Shout out of appreciation to Esha and Adam for recommending this...
