Lake Front Park and Beach — Attraction in Huron

This park was absolutely beautiful and had all of the things to keep our family entertained. The adults were able to kick back and relax on a sheet on the ground or at any of the many picnic tables spread throughout the park. The kids had plenty to do with all of the space to run around, both in the park and at the beach, as well as playing on the playground at the park. Finally, and probably best of all, the park offered ample shade to escape the hot sun while enjoying everything. If ever in Huron again, our family will certainly be visiting this park...

Growing up my grandparents had a cottage 4 miles east of Huron (Strawberry Fields) and unfortunately it is no more, so I wanted somewhere close to bring me as near and dear as I could to the cottage and this place is pretty much it. Although, last year, I did stumble upon Old Women’s Creek beach. Regardless, Lake Front has evolved over the last few years with several improvements and my son and I enjoy driving just a little over an hour for a beautiful view of the lake. Love it! Truly a great lake place!! Newly refinished walkway and shallow grass slope to the beach aid access to the lake shore. Plenty of picnic spots and a small gazebo in case of rain welcome guests here. A large play area with baby swings, slides, and plenty of climbing opportunities (for both experienced and less experienced climbers) abound. An endlessly new panaroma awaits if you journey all the way down to where the water kisses the sand. One of my fave places year around morning to night, summer sun...
