IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE A ZERO I WOULD. PLEASE DO NOT DO ANY BUISNESS HERE. THE OWNER NORMAN AND THE BARTENDERS ARE DESPICABLE. I HAD AN EVENT HERE AND PREPAID $500 TO THE BARTENDER, WITHIN 20 MINUTES SHE WAS DOUBLE CHARGING MY GUESTS, IN ADDITION TO CONSTANTLY CHARGING MY CARD. ALSO NORMAN AGREED TO HAVE THE VENUE CLEANED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM INCLUDING WAXING THE FLOORS.... WELL I CAN TELL YOU THAT NONE OF THAT WAS DONE. THE TABLE AND CHAIRS ARE OUTDATED AND WERE FALLING APART. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH NORMAN REGARDING ALL OF THE ISSUES THAT TOOK PLACE AND HIS RESPONSE WAS THAT HE NEVER AGREED TO DO ANYTHING AND THAT HE HAS BEEN USING THE SAME FURNITURE FOR 10 YEARS AND THAT NO ONE ELSE HAS HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT. WHICH I DON'T BELIEVE THAT NO ONE ELSE HASN'T HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO DO BUISNESS WITH A SHADY YELLOW BELLIED RATTLESNAKE THIS IS THE PLACE. HOWEVER, IF NOT SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE DO NOT DO ANY...

Other venues should mos...
Read moreRoom 43 is a beautiful venue with great acoustics for the Sunday Night Hyde Park Jazz Jam which I recently attended. I arrived there early at 7 pm and the place was crowded. I enjoyed listening to Joan Callaso and her Trio. There are alcoholic beverages and appetizers called "Jazz Bites". The prices are reasonable. I enjoyed a very good glass of red wine, Merlot. If you enjoy jazz, then for $10 cover charge you will have a ball. Students pay $5. It is one block away from Norman's Bistro where Resident Jazz Artist Ernest Dawkins hosts a Jazz Jam on Sundays starting at 8:30 pm. There is no cover charge at Norman's Bistro. So you can enjoy Jazz in...
