I keep my MD appts in Matthew's even after moving 2.5hrs away. 5hrs RT, no traffic. (So more like 8hrs. Lol). I COULD change, but I go the extra distance each month for ONE reason: The pharmacy at HT Sun Valley! I've been with them since they opened in 2005. Jon Ducar opened the pharmacy and is still there as Pharmacy Mgr. In the last 10yrs I've developed conditions for which I need medications FAR more than I ever expected. That said...the services, kindness and knowledge provided by Jon Ducar, as well as the same by Renee Soban (RPh Mgr) are invaluable to me and worthy of every extra hour I travel each month. In these years both Jon and Renee, as well as the staff they obviously train SO well & for purposes to meet such incredible pharmacy service standards, have gone above and beyond for me in every way possible. They've helped me save money before I was insured; they've made necessary contacts for me & even spoken on my behalf in situations that were within the scope of their allowances; just as they would for any other customer. They've been available to answer questions to a point I trust like no others. Most importantly, they've done it all with kindness, empathy, patience and understanding. I'm sure I've brought about an internal "Oh boy...." more than a time or 2 but if so, Ive never seen it...not even once! I'd be remiss if I failed to mention Nishad, (ph asst) who has definitely found his calling, in my opinion. He's an example of the training I mentioned and has upheld it consistently & to an exemplary standard. "Nik" (also a ph asst) has been there the shortest time, having taken place for Tracy (whom I adored.) Nik is yet another example of training excellence and the part of her OWN, "personal self" she brings to work is a VERY refreshing addition to the HT #129 Pharmacy team. I truly hope she enjoys her position and stays on. While I only know the team from the "customers' side" of the counter I do feel it's been long enough that im qualified to says that for ME; it reads like very finely tuned, efficacious and all around plesant...
Read moreI go to the Harris Teeter there. Yesterday, I called and got Charles in the meat department to cut me 12 ribeyes that I was going to pick up around 6:30. He called me back when he discovered that he didn't have enough meat to cut. He actually went into the floor and pulled 12 steaks for me. He apologized because he didn't get to cut a few thick ones and thought he had let me down. I was thankful that he did that! I was on my way there and was a witness to a bad wreck. I had to wait for the trooper to get there and give him my information and give a statement. I called the meat department and I was assured that my steaks were being held until I got there. He even showed concern about me being in a wreck 😊 Harris Teeter has a great team who go out of their way to help. That is why I drive the 20 minutes to get there. Read moreSadly I was not referred to as "a customer" here... I was called a security risk.... What was risky for me to be scanning items without good lighting.... This store has had a large turnover of management and none of these were IMPROVEMENTS !!! NO CONCERN FOR THE CUSTOMER WHATSOEVER!!! ONLY 2 employees were pleasant & courteous.... Store manager was obscenely RUDE... I guess Harris Teeter has "left the building"... Kroger's lack of decent SERVICE IS OBVIOUS!!! IF YOU LIKE TO BE TORTURED CONTINE TO shop here. I refuse.
