I have been frequenting this establishment for a very long time and spent thousands of dollars in firearms, ammunition, and range time... Until today I thought the staff were less than friendly but tolerable however my brother and I went in and he was looking to purchase a FN 45 tactical which I had told him they had in stock. First we went to the range and bought ammo and an hour of range time each we had pistol, rifle and shotgun to shoot and after Steve gave us our lane we did just that the cardboard target holder was already pretty beat up from the previous user and we shot around 150 pistol cartridges two boxes of 7.62 and then we moved on to the 12 gauge one of the rounds went 12 in. over center and the wadding from the shell split the cardboard target holder in half we thought nothing of it and cleaned up our brass and some steel case someone else left on the floor and went out to retrieve our ID's as we approached the counter Steve said to us in a nasty tone I'm going to need two dollars from you surprised I asked did we go over our hour and he scowled and said NO you destroyed my target holder I was stunned I gave him the two dollars and he gave us back our ID cards then he informed us that if this ever happened again we would be banned from this range for life I gave him an apology even though I didn't feel it was necessary and I asked him what we did wrong he said read rule number eight which read that you needed to have your target past 10 feet when using a shotgun well we weren't shooting the 12 gauge point blank I believe we were well past ten feet and after already being damaged and the two of us firing 200+ rounds I think it was time for a new piece of cardboard even if the shotgun wad hadn't gone through it I felt like a complete fool being treated this way over two cents worth of cardboard my brother and I take firearms safety and training very seriously and always obey the range rules to the letter I would not deliberately break any range safety rules and I expect the same from others needless to say we passed out of the shop without buying the new $1,200.00 pistol we had come to get I know this review is long in the tooth but I go out of my way to make sure that people know they will be treated poorly at this establishment I have spent thousands of dollars in this shop and I know many of my family and friends have also but after contacting my friends in the firearms community on Facebook and over the phone they have not only lost myself and my brother as patrons they have lost several other more than casual shooters because of a small piece of cardboard and very...
Read moreThis place is great! They have a great selection and decent prices. Since I have been going there for years I feel I am qualified to speak on this. IF you have a bad time there you brought it on yourself. If you come in with an attitude you will get an attitude. They own the place it is not a corporate store. Therefore they don't have to put up with your smack. Also do not forget that sometimes we all have a bad day. SO if you happen to go there and maybe someone isn't kissing your a$$ like you want ...just get over it. You probably have bad days too. If they tell you something that contradicts one of the thousands of so called "Youtube" experts... it does not mean they are wrong. They just have a different opinion of how to handle whatever you are discussing. There are many other gun stores around town to go to and you CAN find faults with any of them. We live in a sensitive age where you can be offended by almost anything. I say go to this store you will not be disappointed. If you do not get the level of service your entitled a$$ thinks you should get don't go running your mouth. Give them another shot. If you continually go to this store and always get attitude take a look at how you approach them. There is not one rude person there in my opinion. If they tell you something you don't wanna hear it's not being rude. Take that whinny liberal attitude and buy your things elsewhere. This is a great place to visit. They have slow days and busy days. IF you come in on a busy day and once again they aren't rolling out the red carpet for your self entitled ego. It is because YOU are not the only person in there so you have to share the staff with other patrons. Patience...
Read moreWent to Beech Grove firearms to buy an AR 15. Looking to spend around $1300. I have a always bought my guns from Bradis in Camby. I looked at Bradis first, then for some reason drove all the way to B.G.F in rush hour traffic through construction. Once inside I walked to the rifle area and was finding it hard to see the labels with make and price. I was asking the younger guy with camo hat about additional accessories like scope, light and forward grip. He seemed like he wanted to do anything else but help me. I finally said out loud so others could hear me, " why does it seem like I'm doing all the work here." The worker looked puzzeled and continued to act as though showing me accessories was like getting a root canal. I finally said screw it. Much to the chagrin of my buddy who met me there with his AR so we could use the range. I drove all the way back to Bradis at 5pm to get a new S&W M&P 5.56. The guys at Bradis even put my rails and accessories on as I did my paperwork. Will only use BGF for the range because I live less than a...
