I have lived in Irvington for several years now and I love my community and this farmers market. I love the diversity of vendors that show up; food trucks, clothing, dog treats, crafts, fresh flowers, local companies, and many other wonderful participants. That being said I feel as though the farmers market has leaned too far into artisan goods. I would really like to see a stronger presence of fresh produce vendors. The last time we were there, it was just two or three produce stalls out of a few dozen total. I think people expect a bit more than that out of a "farmers" market but that's just my opinion. I would love for all of the current participants to stay and there just be a little more diversity in the produce. My wife and I try to go every time, and frankly we will continue to do so in the best and worst of times. We want to encourage community events like this.
