Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival — Attraction in Indio

I have never been disapointed with this Festival.Bathrooms are kept clean.And so MANY food venders and rare finds for shopping. Lots of entertainment some varying with each day .There is truly something for everyone regardless of interests or age.Follow their calender and menu line up of all to see and do.Lots of special days for families with children,and US service personnel .Other discounts apply and tickets bought in advance are even more affordable plus it's $5.00 Fri.! Do be prepared with a little extra cash as you will most likely find that 'something' you can't pass up.By the way the last day of the fair the many benders start packing up early so it's the best day to try to get a deal on purchases if you are sharp.Towards the end of the event last day you can get great deals on food since they have to either sell it at a whopping discount or just toss it out since their moving on to their next event. I save all year for this event to get advanced tickets for 2 days with one being ,of course, the last day to shop early! Grounds are very manageable to walk since they are not as large as the LA or OC county fair's. So have fun, good luck, and I hope this helps you out. From childhood, to now, this date festival has changed big time for the worse it’s night and day. First of all, it’s way over priced to get in, 2nd, everything is so outrageously expensive you can’t even enjoy yourself knowing, its so expensive from getting in to food,, merchandise, rides, events, it’s a cash cow festival by the way, all the main shows like the pageant are gone, I didn’t really enjoy it in the last 10 years because they kept changing the original script eventually it went up in smoke heck its 90% all food stands with ridiculously outrages prices, the games are so rigged the city got on them a few years ago but they’ve went back to their old ways in scamming out the kiddies of their saved up lunch money and piggy banks. I spoke to a few venders who won’t be coming back because no foot traffic like they were promised like in years ago, heck, I felt really bad for this one sweet vender so I bought something from them which I couldn’t really afford they were really nice and had traveled 500 miles to sell merchandise boy something needs to change or this once beautiful Date festival will be a thing of the past it’s sad, very sad.

hello, i am not happy to say that last night was absolutely HORRIBLE. i am genuinely so disappointed in you riverside county fair. Yesterday, I was in line for fast pass, because we had fast pass, and they escorted us to the other non fast pass line, which is totally unfair. i went with my family of 6. We were in line for megaflip and of course, it took forever in line. which is absolutely fine! I understand that! but what really pisses me off is that many people kept short cutting me and my kids. People who simply walked in line. Tell me how that is fair at all? So they went on or whatever and got on. then FINALLY after an hour and a half, it was our turn. and guess what happens? the ride malfunctioned. and WE were the ones who got punished, not those people who short cutted unfairly. And the thing that really pisses me off is the fact they didn't offer me NOTHING. no second chance to come on again, no apology, nothing. and it wasn't like we could wait, it was already 10 by then! I am so disapointed in you Riverside County Fair. Will not come...
