For those there for jury duty, I cannot stress enough, If you want to get a place to park at the courthouse, regardless of what time you need to be there, you must be in the parking lot by 7;15am. Usually by 7:30 it's full and stays full. Across the street on Plaza and Oasis is a COUNTY OWNED parking structure. Jury Duty is done for the State of California NOT the County of Riverside so the court house has nothing to do with the county parking structure or the 2 or 4 hour free parking behind the structure. Parking for jurors and the public doing business at the court house is the parking lot surrounding the courthouse. If that lot is full (which it will be by 7:30am) you can park across hwy 111 at Applebees. WATCH AND READ ALL SIGNS! You can also park in the new County owned parking structure (public entrance is on Oasis Ave)but you DO HAVE TO PAY TO PARK INSIDE THE PARKING STRUCTURE. It is 2.00 an hour and after 4 hours it is $8.00 which is the maximum charge for a 24 hour period. The temperature inside the structure is at least 15-20 degrees cooler than out in the desert sun so your car isn't 1150 degrees when you get in it. Great perk. You can pay for your parking with a debit or credit card at the exits or if you have cash there is a machine near the elevators and office to pay for your parking. Everyone else got attended only because they knew english and we needed to talk with the woman that knew spanish. she spent with that client for over an hour, knowing there’s only two hours of service. We were there from before 1:30 and got attended until 2:20, ten minutes before closing. Right off the bat the RUDE woman didn’t let us explain why we came, we were sent there to get help translating an application, because the women at the front windows, SENT us there for that. the woman did not let us explain that though. She claimed she would see if the man who isn’t a relative whom gave my last name was still in my birth certificate as a “father”, she did not. She lied. She used that as an excuse to get us out of there with a file of “other places that could help”. She never took us out of the doubt if the man was in my birth certificate.
