Dinosaur Park in Aliso Viejo, our kids love it! #parkreview #dinosaurpark #alisoviejo @katrinalob

Dinosaur Park was an exciting place to visit, as the themed playground was unique, and captured the imaginations of younger visitors. There was a snack bar, soccer field, baseball diamond, skate park, tennis court, and a good-sized playground with three kind of separate play areas. The lower area has water fountains, whale bone structure, sand area with cool diggers, and a jeep. Off to the right there was an area for smaller children. The upper level has the main playground, and swings. There are a couple of slides going from the upper level to the lower level, but these were metal, and hot. This would be a good choice for a place to get together, or have a birthday party. There are tables, and barbeque pits fairly close to the play area. There seemed to be plenty of parking on the lower lot, even on a weekend, but we parked in the covered parking by Laguna Hills High School. I’m not sure if this is technically allowed, but we didn’t have any issues. Parking is a little walk away from the playground. Also, due to the somewhat separated layout of the playground, it was helpful to have at least a second set of eyes on the kids.

We took a break at Dinosaur Park for the kids after riding our bikes and e-scooters on the Aliso Creek bike trail and the place was nice and clean. I like that there is a smaller separate playground area for young toddlers and a bigger separate area for older kids. All the playground equipment looked well-maintained and the kids had fun playing on the slides, swing, and the sand. The only bad thing about this place was that all the bathrooms were closed (locked) and one had to use a porta-potty located far off (probably due to COVID-19). Also, despite signs asking parents and kids to wear face coverings, about 95% of the people here did not wear any masks (kids & adults). During normal circumstances, this park would be a great place for both adults and kids to relax and play.

Unique park with multiple levels that kids can climb and slide on. There is a lower level 0layground and an upper level playground. There is a small playground off to the side for smaller kids and has sand. There is a water feature kids can play with, it's a few turtle statues that quiet water and a little waterway to play, very small but fun for kids to play in the water. You can bring swimsuits but maybe some shorts, and t-shirts are ok as they can do both play in playground and water. Very nice place with benches and tables nearby as well as a restroom right next to playground. It is a little tricky to park ad there is a lot right into the driveway and drive all the way up the entrance and an upper lot. We usually use the lower lot right into the entrance on the left. We drove almost 20 miles to get to this playground and is worth the drive for the unique features and a little different...

Big, beautiful, sprawling park with great grass fields! But I went there to watch a Family Style band concert, and the layout was TERRIBLE! The stage is on a hill which is great! But right in front of the stage is a slope, filled with waste-high vegetation for 30 meters that encompasses the entire platform. So if you wanted to dance, you had to go stage-right, thus not feeling or seeing the full pulse of the band's performance! UNFATHOMABLE! Who OK'd that design, Laguna Hills planning commission!? Then, the band leader was talking to a groupie before the show started, and I asked him! This is a terrible configuration for the fans isn't it --- and this is what the drummer told me. "Well the check cleared so that's all I care about." Yeah he did! But like my Mama always said . . . "When people show you who they are --- believe...
