We have been coming here for about a year. We like the food very much but this place has major problems which are becoming mission critical and we will not eat here again. First of all, the place has always been very cold and we, even summertime, have always worn sweatshirts to eat there. This time, it is winter and very cold out. inside it was cold and got colder by the minute. When we arrived, no one said hello. there were only a few tables and I had to ask to sit down and I asked if I could sit at a table and I received a nod. I sat and waited for my wife who arrived to meet me a few minutes later. I ordered a couple of things and asked it the heat could be turned on. It never was The food was good but we had to ask for everything. I should actually say that the sushi and sashimi were good. The miso was horrible. The salad came without dressing. it was a horror show out front with the person who runs the place out front dressed in sweats and treating us like we are a burden. We made it through the entire meal and asked for the check. The worst service I have ever endured. Here is the worst part; between the server and the "hostess" no one said ONE word to us ever - NEVER We won't be back and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really liked the original O Sushi that burned down on El Toro Rd, then when I heard they opened up at this new location I just had to try it. Overall the menu is the same and they have the same all you can eat special. The food was good, a few items on the menu arenāt exactly how they use to make them. The baked Lobster roll is my favorite for the creamy sauce it use to come with, now it doesnāt and frankly itās not as good. Our first time there the server was not very friendly and not helpful in terms of the menu. It was an older woman, so I donāt think it was because she was new. It seemed like she was pushing for us to do the all you can eat special $25.95 rather than listen to what was best for me. I only wanted two rolls which would have been $18 but she just pushed us to do the āspecialā so my boyfriend and I ended up paying $50+. And you canāt take any leftovers home or they charge you extra for it. I think they need to work with their customers better so they feel theyāre getting the best deal. Not really a must to go again unless I starve myself to take advantage of the all you can...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNice atmosphere, and friendly wait staff. The rolls are typically VERY good for the $$, but with a few oddities; My significant other ordered a sushi burrito type item, and there was little fish with an OVERWHELMING amount of synthetic crab. I took a bite as well, and confirmed that it was a waste of good salmon.
The wait staff is a bit under-staffed, so wait times are higher than usual.
The big ticket item here was an odd one... Dirty glassware. Yep. You heard me. The glasses we were served our water in had gray and black specs semi-hardened to the inside and outside of the glass. Even after asking our server for clean glassware, the new set of glasses had the same particulates on/in them. When asked what was in them, she just said "material". Not the wait staff's fault at all, but this is a pretty basic thing not to f--k up. Having worked in the service industry myself, I know that having clean plateware and glassware really only requires a few things... Minor attention to detail being...
