Sanrio Irvine — Attraction in Irvine

Where do I start with how horrible this place is. I have never experienced customer service as poor as this. We tried to go in only to be told they were "at capacity" and we could not be let into the store even though it was not crowded at all and we are way past COVID. When we finally came in after waiting, I found nothing but overpriced junky merchandise. My daughter had received a gift of a sanrio character plush pencil case that she wanted to exchange for another character. The merchandise was in brand new mint condition with attached tags and was even in stock at this store. We were trying to do a simple exchange and they would not allow it. They said all sales are final, including basic exchanges. We were not looking to get a refund or even store credit. I was shocked beyond belief that a big company like this can deny you even a simple exchange when the item you purchased is in stock and still selling at the store. I would never come back here again or allow my kids to shop at a store that shows zero value to...

i love sanrio, but every time i come here the shopping experience is so uncomfortable. my boyfriend and i have shopped here several times, often spending over $100 yet each time we come the workers watch us and follow us while we’re shopping. it makes the shopping experience very uncomfortable, especially since i like taking my time choosing what i buy but its hard to enjoy it when you can constantly feel the workers eyes on you. not only that, but every time we go to a section by the door like the stationary or my melody section a worker rushes over to guard the door. not sure why they feel the need to do this especially since every time we have came its been the same workers that see us, it creates such an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment. after going earlier today and having the same uncomfortable experience, we are choosing to order directly from the sanrio website or shop at the miniso in the plaza where the employees are much more welcoming. hope this isn’t the way they treat all the poc...

I was extremely excited to visit Sanrio as there are not many left near my area. This was still a bit of a drive but closest to me, unfortunately it is not the same as other Sanrio shops I’ve been to. The girls are extremely friendly! But the shop doesn’t have a big selection of items. I was looking forward to purchasing some pens, cute plastic wallets, mirror with comb and the nostalgic fruity flavor bubblegum but did not see any of these items in store. The store doesn’t have many characters to choose from, no bags no wallets no pencil cases, I did not want to leave the store empty handed because it was a bit of a drive so I picked up 4 items and once I was ready to pay I was told I needed exact change because they had no change at the register. Overall I’m happy with what I purchased but I wish there was a bigger selection of merchandise ❤️ I grew up with Sanrio so I would hate to see...
