This trailhead is still being renovated as of February 2024. It currently has 2 portable potties, which are clean. About 30 cars could park here. The trail leads to some beautiful areas where you're simply immersed in forest bathing [Japanese: shinrin-yoku. Scandinavian: friluftsliv / "Free Air Life"]. It could be quiet in certain time of the day and the people who passed by were wonderful. From this trailhead, there's a significant climb up the slope of the hill. We'll worth the exercise. I hike for 3.5 hrs., covering 8 miles and took some photos. Please see below. Happy Hiking. The Journey continues... ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿฅฐ

Spent the afternoon amongst giants yesterday. See below for more:

๐Ÿ“Tiger Mountain State Forest ๐Ÿ”๏ธ Swamp, Ruth Kees, Brink Trail Loop ๐Ÿฅพ 3.2 out & back ๐Ÿ“ˆ 300ft gain

This hike is about 30 min from Seattle. It is at the high point trailhead and fills up fast. We were lucky to find a spot when we arrived. There are miles and miles of trails here...

Harder than expected! Steep, Narrow trail, rocky and unstable, right next to sharp cliff. Now I understand why other hikers here have trekking poles. Parts of the incline are angled which puts pressure on...
