This hotel has a ton of potential and it’s unfortunate when a few negative things or people can really influence your overall stay. Upon check in (digital which is very convenient with kiddos and a dog) it was annoying to see the room very surface cleaned. There was stuff on the furniture and the walls. Because it was late and I had promised the girls they could swim, I quickly addressed it with the front and was shocked by how I was treated. The woman on our first night was very rude. She didn’t care to ask what my cleanliness concerns were, told me they could move me and that the only way I could get a room with a tub for my kids was if I upgraded. When I asked how much she told me “significant”; I asked again and again she said very significant, never giving me a price and felt as if she was implying I could not afford it. At this point I just asked for the manager. About an hr later I got a call but missed it as I had taken the girls to the pool. When I called back I was unable to leave a Vm, called a few times and never received a call back. I was informed he manages the hotel next door as well so I’m sure had his hands full.
Later that night after lots of frustration I spoke with someone new at the front who was very helpful the remainder of our stay, Gabby. She was honestly our saving grace on this trip. We were upgraded for the following day at a good price but at this time found out after I had complained to the first lady she added a large dog fee to my room. I did not hide my dog, she never asked me about him and had she she would have been informed and I could have provided paperwork that he is a service animal. A small 20lb, well behaved dog. This was very upsetting. The next morning I then found out I was charged for my whole stay in the first room and the new room Charge plus deposits for both equaling about $700 for 2 nights. When I called about this I was told id get a call from the manager and that never happened. This again was also very upsetting. Yet again I go to the front and Gabby was there and truly helped yet again! We discussed the issues and she offered anything she could to make the remainder of our stay better. Our last night there was a lot of fun, the kiddos got some extra time in the game room, we got very late Check out in our upgraded room and addtnl points for another stay! Overall this hotel has so much potential but clearly there needs to be some improvements with how some staff treat guests. As for Gabby! Thank you again, you truly made the difference in our stay! I hope Hilton values you as they should and I personally believe you deserve a raise, promotion or both! She is great at her job and if we ever return to this hotel, she is why! The only reason this isn’t a horrible rating is because of...
Read moreWe got to stay at the hotel for three weeks and it was just mediocre. This hotel felt probably one of the most unfriendly hotels that I have been to in a long time and I have been to several different states and hotels. That isn't to say that there aren't friendly staff as there were a few receptionists, cleaning staff and maintenance workers who were friendly. However, when we requested simple things such as a room cleaning or towels/toilet paper, we were either surprised with no room cleaning or being told to fetch it ourselves. Now when we did get someone who brought it to us, it was due to a very strict and rude female employee who ensured that got it to us. I mentioned this female employee in particular as she was very rude to us about our pets being at breakfast but we sat in the furthest corner and didn't bring them without into the food area, but she insisted that we couldn't bring our pets. There was no sign or receptionist that mentioned this to us when we checked in. I feel that should be firmly written as other areas of the hotel such as the pool and gym mentioned it. Additionally, there were other guests who brought their dogs into the actual food area and nothing was done about that. It seems that some employees take rules seriously and some do not, or just have their preferences.
The beds weren't really comfortable. We also asked if we could get thicker blankets and we got a different blanket each time, even though the first one was better. I did appreciate the different breakfast combinations for each day, they offer some Mexican offerings as well as condiments which was nice. The Wednesday social hour was nice too but I wasn't a huge fan of most of the offerings.
There was one time we received new towels but they had weird stains on them so they just went immediately to the floor. There also weird stains on the computer area which was concerning. Additionally, there was a time the remote to the TV didn't work and we had to call for maintenance which their answer was to give us a new remote. There were two lights in the room that did not work at all and it was difficult as they were in crucial areas where there was no lighting so half of the room was always dark. Many guests would spill stuff or people who went swimming would leave puddles, which is dangerous for pets so I would have to be extra cautious in the elevators (can't take the stairs due to dog's heart condition). Definitely will consider other options if we have to stay in...
Read moreThe outside of the building , lobby , dining area and suite have a very nice appearance . The receptionist at check in was very efficient and pleasant. Our stay ws not good .The facility had many areas that were not clean. Our suite was on the 2nd floor and had what appeared to be a traveling basket piled high with dirty towels that were first noticed around the the corner from the elevator in hallway by a guest suite remained there until it made its way out front of our suite # 2016 where it stayed until past our check out . There was also a horrible odor on the 2nd floor that we noticed on the evening of our first night when stepping off the elevator , it was coming from the vending and ice machine area which also is where garbage and recycling is kept . Horrifying to see garbage piled high outside the containers which included bags of trash , cat litter box , dog food bags and we’re pretty sure animal waste . Very unsanitary and just gross! We notified the young lady at the front desk of our concerns immediately and she said she would have the matter taken care of. When returned later in the evening some of the garbage had been removed but on all of it , still a lot stuff on the floor piled up. There was also garbage piled in an overflowing receptor and piled high on the sidewalk near the parking lot entrance that stayed there for our entire stay . Dog feces in the sidewalk that was never cleaned up the entire time . Our room keys didn’t work so we again spoke the the young lady at the front desk who we thought reactivated the keys and advised to keep them away from our cell phones , computer and microwave, which we hadn’t done . The keys did not work when we return to the hotel after 11:00pm . We had to bang on the front door to alert the very nice security person who had to track down the night receptionist from another location in the hotel who gave us new keys . Our suite was nice and comfortable, however the intranet did not work . We attempted to eat breakfast but at 9:15am most of the food was gone and not replenished. There were no plates left to use . We went to the Issaquah Cafe and spent 50.00 dollars for a very good breakfast. Our stay cost for 2 nights was $645. We stayed 7/8 until 7/10. I posted this review when asked to rate our stay by the hotel but have not gotten a reply . We tried something new, it was a failure . We will stay at Springhill Suites for a next visit , it’s always a great...
