This motel is NOT pet friendly, I have 1 ESA dog. My family and I were put here after, my suv that my 3 kids and I were in, caught fire and we lost everything on 8/6/25, which also was my youngest daughter's birthday. We were put here because my ID got burnt up in the fire and we had no where else to go, we were staying here from 9/24 to 9/28 and then we went and house sat for a friend, we were then brought back here, and the motel said that we caused damage on 1 TOWEL, from my dog being in heat. That's the motel manager showed the shelter director and then put us in a room that smelled like cat pee, and the thermoustat said it was 85 degrees in the room when i had the ac turned on to 64, i asked repeatedly if they could fix it and they never did, we never got maid service even when asked, why? Because their staff is AFRAID OF DOGS! One night, there was a heavy gas smell and as i was trying to figure out where the smell was coming from, another guest was walking by and he noticed it too, with him being tall he narrowed down that the gas smell was coming from the vent outside my room, walked down to the office with me and we told the person on that shift and he could out and found that the gasoline smell was coming from the vent outside my room. I asked if he wanted me to call the police to see if they could come out and figure it out and he said NO, i kept smelling it throughout the night and had a headache from it. Throughout our time here, we had several employees come to the room and asked if we had 2 dogs here, they even came into the room to check, I told them my 10 yr old is going to be a werewolf for Halloween and she has a wolf mask. We also had room checks from the shelter staff. Then the desk said that my ESA dog was never registered in their system, that was a lie, as the shelter manager was with me during check in and had me give them my dog's ESA ID, and then the front desk accused me of having another adult in the room, my 17 yr old and 15 yr old daughters are both taller than 5'7, but then they asked who this person was on my account, it was the shelter manager. Then called (yesterday 10/23) the desk to set up for another week of us being there, the front desk said no, and said that suddenly, in the room we were in before, we caused THOUSANDS of dollars to the room, and that we have 2 dogs. Im not sure why but the maintance guy would shut of the water multiple times a day without warning. My family and I are going through a hard enough time and now, because of these lies, the shelter will not help us anymore, and no other motel will take us because I only have a temp ID that I got just yesterday (10/23). Also, as I am waiting for my 10 yr old to get here, the front desk lady came out and asked if we could to by the office instead of the stairwell because THE EMPLOYEES ARE SCARED OF DOGS! THANK YOU motel 6 for kicking a single mom down who is already going...
Read moreI had something of a nightmare experience here. First of all, they gave me the furthest possible room from a parking spot in the middle upper floor of the back building by the freeway. Ok, not ideal but I was tired and ready to sleep. I open the door and the odor of stale cigarette smoke hits me. The room was supposed to be nonsmoking, but again I'm too tired to care. I try to turn on some lights, but only a third of them actually work. The lack of quality is becoming apparent.
After schlepping all my stuff up I set the climate control to 69 and set about getting some needed zzzzzs. Several hours later I wake up in a sweat, the heater having apparently been stuck on full blast despite showing 69 degrees. I turn it down to 65 and hope for the best. An hour later I again wake in the miserable stale smoke scented heat, at which point I turn off the heat entirely, crack a window and proceed with the only option remaining: to shiver my way thru till morning beneath a thin layer of sheet and blanket.
The next morning I take a long walk to shake off the night's misery. I request a late checkout of noon so I can extend my walk and perhaps get a shower before leaving.
When I get back to the room at 10:45 my magnetic key won't unlock the door. It's probably programmed to turn off at 11? So I call the front desk and ask for it to be turned back on. They tell me to come to the front desk. I spot a housekeeper and ask if they can unlock it for me and they say ok. I ask the housekeeper and she won't do it. I explain to her in Spanish what happened but she still refuses. I tell her to call the front desk to corroborate my story and she does, but still I am unable to enter my room. Finally, I hike the considerable distance to the front desk and get my key while (I'm not proud of this but everyone has their breaking point) peppering any and all employees with some choice words about my experience. They gave as good as they got, deflecting the blame to me, the innocent patron. Was I on a prank show?
Once gaining entry to my room, I only want to get the hell out of there so I skip the shower and leave. One wonders what liquid would have flowed in the pipes of this singularly execrable establishment.
I also dashed off a message to the owner via text form comment. After a day or two, the owner responds and tells me I will receive an insulting 15% discount on my stay. I never got it. After several messages back and forth I finally gave up.
And that's what you get for being going cheap on lodging in Issaquah....
Read moreI’ve been staying here regularly for business for the last two years and tonight was the worst experience I’ve had at a motel/hotel, ever. It began when I make a small mistake accidentally by booking the wrong night. It should’ve been an easy fix. Cancel the wrong reservation, make a new one. Instead, the slow, dismissive, rude and seemingly incompetent front desk clerk left the Expedia representative on hold for 45 minutes. When my mistake was finally corrected, the clerk told me to come back in 10 minutes to allow the system to update. But when I came back, the lobby door was locked. He was off helping another customer…. for another 30 minutes. Suffice it to say, I arrived at 9 PM and my room, wasn’t available until after 11. I literally sat in my truck in the Motel 6 parking lot for two hours, waiting for a room. And because he took so long, putting everyone else first, treating me as the nuisance and afterthought, the parking lot filled up leaving me unable to park my truck and trailer once I was finally checked in. Awesome. When I asked where I should park, I was told to park on private property and “run” out early in the morning to move my truck… this was at midnight by the way. I still hadn’t made it to my room. Between the incompetent, dismissive front desk clerk and absence of parking spaces, it took over three hours from when I arrived on the property to when I was able to get to my room. After midnight… and remind to you, I’m here for work. This is a business trip.
If I knew the front desk clerk was going to make such a mess of my night over a small error, I think I would rather have paid for the night I wasn’t going to use and got a room at a different hotel… somewhere that actually cares about their customers. What a huge waste of time. Apparently, this is the way Motel 6 treats their repeat customers. To add icing on the cake, instead of apologizing, the front desk clerk became agitated and defensive when I pointed out that I have been waiting for two hours. Zero apology.
Instead it was “all my fault”… because correcting a small booking error is simply overwhelming for the Motel 6 Issaquah… which, by the way, I didn’t even ask them to do. I simply asked if it was possible and indicated that I would just pay for it if it couldn’t be corrected. All I wanted was a room. Apparently that was too much to ask. By the way, they acted, you’d think no one has ever mixed up dates...
