Life changing, truly. I've been taking beginner adult ballet classes once a week with Kim for about 8 months now (starting with intro to ballet, then Ballet 1). I was nervous to sign up at first, it feels like I haven't moved my body since cheerleading in high school years ago, but I'm glad I took the chance. The minute you walk through the studio doors, you leave all your problems behind. It is an incredibly supportive environment and everyone is SO kind. I am living out a childhood dream of taking ballet classes and Kim's classes are the right balance of fun and challenging. I've seen many other women with similar stories come through the same doors, nervous at first, and quickly falling in love (or back in love) with ballet. It is the highlight of my week, every week. Kim knows everyone's name, provides really excellent feedback to improve, and always has me giggling in class. I just recently bumped up my pass to 10 classes a month so I can come back more! I have also taken a Jazz 1 class with Megan and had a blast! Very high energy and reeeally fun choreography. I'm looking forward to returning for more classes with her and trying out some other types of dance within the studio in the future. I also love that there is an opportunity to stream classes if you can't get over to the studio in person. If you're contemplating signing up for classes, DEFINITELY go for it! Do it for yourself. These classes filled a big hole in my heart that I didn't even know was there, I'm...
Read moreI have been taking dance classes at the studio for almost 4 years. After many years of wanting to learn to dance but failing to find the right place to learn, I stumbled across the studio. I love everything about it and it is a perfect fit for me. Due to multiple levels of classes full of people from all backgrounds and ages - I have never felt intimidated or out of place. In years gone by, I struggled to keep up with adult dance classes full of dancers who had danced all their lives. Here I have been able to progress through the levels at my own pace. The teachers are all experienced, friendly, fun and supportive and many have become my friends. Since Covid 19 closed public spaces, I have been able to join classes from home, follow recorded classes in my own time that fit with my work and family schedule and attend in person classes. During in person classes I always feel safe - the studio is clean, well ventilated and follows strict sanitary procedures with classes of no more than 5 dancers. You are never too old to learn to dance, even if you think you have 2 left feet. The studio brings me joy in difficult times - I cannot recommended it...
Read moreThis place is THE BEST! Steven (the owner) goes out of his way to personally get to know everyone who comes through the door, and even if you're new to dancing or to the studio, you quickly become part of the family. Awesome teachers, endless encouragement for beginners and the right level of challenge for the experienced dancer. Plus you can do what works with your schedule because of the drop in classes - you're not committed to the same day/time for 6+ weeks! With Covid, they flexed and adapted incredibly quickly to keep us dancing. Now you can do classes in person, on Zoom or via recorded videos on your own schedule. I work with a high-risk population (senior living), so having access to an ever-growing variety of video classes has been amazing. It's not just one or two, there's seriously probably 50 options to choose from! I'm so thankful...
