I have never left a review before on anything, but I've also never received such poor service at the end of my time. I would like to start by saying that I do appreciate them making time for me before the holidays. Along with this I received a good price.
I went in for balayage and showed several pictures and picked out the color I wanted. April was very kind. Once she took the foil off, I was not happy with the results. She offered to fix it, which I appreciate so she did fix the color. The placement of the balayage is what I'm concerned about. At the studio, I looked at my hair as much as anyone would before leaving. Once I got home and brushed through it, I saw very uneven highlights. I then took a picture of them and sent it to April, letting her know that I did not see this part last night and I wasn't happy. Again, she had already tried twice to accomplish what I had asked for at this point. She did offer to fix it again, I wasn't sure what could be done and did not feel comfortable going back. I let her know I didn’t feel comfortable and she proceeded to tell me she couldn’t understand why. I asked for a refund and she refused. I even asked for at least half back, which was also refused. She continued to send me text messages while I was at work trying to convince me to come in the get it fixed after I had said a refund is more appropriate. I am really disappointed in this service and the quality. I am a grad student and work full time, so it’s not often I’m able to get my hair done, so not getting what I asked for followed by not getting a refund was more than disappointing. Read moreI booked a Groupon as I was looking forward to trying this hair salon. I wanted to make sure she could do the work before spending a fortune and not getting the look I wanted. Mind you I tried to call her several times and never got a response. When I texted she gave me the link To book. I booked a balayage but didn’t see a Groupon option so I just went with what was there. The night before my appointment as I booked weeks in advance she told me she couldn’t complete the full service due to the virus which I understood. I told her about the problems I’ve had and wanted to make her aware that my hair can get brassy which is the problem I’ve had in the past. She instead said I need a color correction without even seeing my hair and that she was canceling my Groupon and I now had to pay full price for a color correction if I wanted to keep my appointment. I tried explaining to her that I don’t need one but she insisted I did. She didn’t even say send me a pic so I can see. My daughters first birthday is weeks away and now I have to scramble to find someone else. Had you actually picked up a phone and talked to me I would have told you what I was looking to do and we could have discussed it or I would have came by for a consultation. I had visited a new salon prior to going to Cia Bella and they did an awful job, so I was really hopeful that April could transform my do back to normal. She was super thorough with pre appointment communication and during the appointment! When I came in, she seemed soo friendly and warm, it put my nerves to ease. She explained everything honestly and open with me and gave realistic expectations and asked for my opinion, before pictures and asked what the prior salon used- all super important things to ask! She was timely, efficient, communicated well, and did a great job on my hair that had been through hell and back!
