Read moreI've been to quite a few different dog parks around Jax just so see which was the best fit for my dog. This was the worst I've been to. We got into the larger dog section and there were around 5 to 8 different dogs there. I noticed none of the males (the majority of dogs there) were neutered. Which didn't surprise me much because it's a free dog park, but I kind of hoped that if you were taking your animals out to play with others you'd care enough to prevent unnecessary and involuntary reproduction, but I digress, because so many males weren't neutered there was constant dog fighting for dominance. My girl is spayed and didn't appreciate multiple dogs coming up trying to mount her (nor did I). None of the other owners seemed to care much even when my dog tried snapping and barking to make it pretty clear she didn't want them to continue. They just ignored it even though fights were breaking out all over. Needless to say I spent maybe 10 minutes there before both my dog and I were backing away to leave. There are a ton of other parks in Jax that have a small fee attached to enter but they all ensure the dogs are up to date on shots and spayed/neutered. Pay the extra or you're stuck dealing with careless dog owners that don't know anything about dog behavior or...
Read moreThis is a very nice and huge park! It is clean. It has wide open spaces for the kids to run around. It also has a nice size playground area with three sets of swings. One set of swings for babies. It has lots of slides at different heights. It also has an area to set up your folding chairs to watch the kids in. It does not have many picnic tables...so bring your own chairs. It has many shaded areas just in case there is too much sun for your liking. Me, my 3 kids ages 1 to 10, and father-in-law enjoyed the park very much. We brought our things like Frisbee, baseball and bat, boomerang etc. We let the kids run and play for about an hr. Then we put our things away in the car. There's plenty of parking by the way. As well as parking close overlooking the playground. Anyways, we then let the kids play in the playground area for 2 hrs. They had a blast. The playground is surrounded by a fence with two openings that can be closed. Again we thoroughly enjoyed this park. We will be visiting this park...
