One of the worst dining experiences:
I'll start with the positive. waiter was friendly in a busy way, meaning, he did just enough to take care of the table but with surface concerns about how the food taste.
The atmosphere is nice. Very fresh design.
The negatives:
Unfortunately, I really wanted this to be a good place as it is not that far from home. However, based on the taste of the food and most certainly the managers response, I will not be returning and I would encourage others to seek better options.
What was ordered: I had the Hibachi chicken and Salmon dinner. My fiancee' had the hibachi steak and salmon dinner. The salmon was good, but the rice taste freezer burned, the noodles taste like metal, the vegetables were not seasoned well, and the shrimp sauce was the worst. It taste sour and had my fiancee' about to gag.
Everything taste like it had been in the freezer for too long.
Management not very accommodating:
We decided the food was not worth eating (and this is after a few bites) I asked the waiter for the check and no boxes. He asked was everything ok and I told him that we were just not impressed; the food was just not good.
The manager came to our table and asked what was wrong. I began to give my honest feedback and he could not accept that. he assured us that we "just didn't like it" because he makes buckets of the shrimp sauce. I refrained from telling him that this might have been the problem...making shrimp sauce in buckets because that exactly what it tastes like.
He removed the plates full of food and said he would charge us only for the small salad and clear soup that comes with the 20 dollar a piece meal, and two drinks (which were also not good probably because the water itself is not good either).
The waiter came back with the bill of almost $15.00! There was no offer to fix something else or a gift card or even offer to just forgive the meal due to the bad food experience. This is not a way to build a good customer base. I still tipped the waiter $10.00 because it was not his fault and he did a good enough job.
Please believe, my fiancee' and I are NOT ones to be super picky. it takes a lot to get us to return something, but this was one of those cases.
My friend is a professional yelp reviewer (yes they do exist). She will be getting an ear full from me tonight!
If you made it through this looooong post, my apologies for giving such a long review. I really don't want to sound so negative or like I'm just complaining. I don't mind paying and tipping for good food and service. But this place is not worth your...
Read moreWent here for date night and was just not impressed at all with the meal. For 20 dollars a meal I expected deliciousness. It was everything but that. I ordered the dinner combo steak and salmon which comes with soup, salad, noodles, veggies and rice AND my fiancé ordered the dinner combo as well but with chicken and salmon. So 20 dollars a piece meals we’re talking. EVERYTHING tasted unseasoned and tasted freezer burnt like (that’s the best I can describe it). We were given our soup and salads first as normal.. I didn’t eat the salad cause I just usually don’t. Then the food arrives.. we first tasted the shrimp sauce and I immediately gagged.. literally. It tasted SO old! And watered down. & I LOVE SHRIMP SAUCE.. from everywhere else! My fiance said the same thing so we decided to not eat the meal. Our waiter was called over and we asked for the check without a box, obviously our plates were still completely filled so he was confused I’m sure. We explained that we were not impressed so he proceeds to get the manager. The manager comes over and asks us what the problem was. We expressed our concerns and his response was “it must be that you just don’t like it because we make buckets and buckets of this stuff.. so we’ll still charge you for the soup and salad” SO BASICALLY LIKE OH WELL MUST BE YOU NOT US BUT YOURE STILL PAYING FOR WHAT YOU ATE. So we were given a 15 dollar check for our soups and salads. You know common courtesy would be “I apologize” first of all and comp the meal? Or am I wrong? It just made no sense to me. We were recommended this place by a friend BUT I wouldn’t recommend it to ANYONE. I like to think we went on the wrong night but that’s no excuse for freezer burnt tasting 20 dollar meals. Choose wasabi instead. They’ll make you proud.. and the shrimp sauce tastes better.. and even if you aren’t impressed I’m sure they wouldn’t charge you for your little side soup and salad. Lol just ridiculous. BTW my fiancé still tipped the waiter TEN DOLLARS, one because we are not those kind of people and two is was not his fault. He was great nevertheless. He actually...
Read moreMy husband and I recently moved to Florida and we have been trying to look for our new Ramen place. We got the beef ramen, scallops ramen, crab Rangoon, the American idol roll and the volcano roll. We got the Crab Rangoon for an appetizer and it was very good, they give you a sweet sauce to dip it in. But in all honesty, this dish was VERY sweet, this is something in the future we would probably get as a dessert. The American Idol roll is HUGE, and in and of itself could be eaten by 1 person and you would be full! I personally loved the Volcano roll, they load it with imitation crab and scallops on top and cook it. Very delicious! The ramen was just okay, but in all honesty, we have very high expectations for ramen. It was also very sweet and I felt it could have used something spicy or salty to add to it. We probably will not get the ramen again in the future, but their rolls we will for sure! The atmosphere is very peaceful and beautiful, and the staff...
