An absolute dump in a dead town, overpriced entry. Bathrooms are putrid, and there is no steady crowd. Sucks for local bands trying to get a leg up, to play for empty seats. The promoter is an egotistical maniac with a selective memory that expects bands to "load in" hours before their set and sit around drinking crap beer for the honor of playing in this run down hole in the wall which has seen it's best days behind it. You are not even aloud to bring equipment through the front, instead have to drive into a dirt road gravel alley way (if you could find it) and then wait in the back praying that someone opens the back door. This place gets only 2 stars for at least having a good and capable sound system but a bit much for such a small venue and not properly EQ'd. I would never play here again unless new management took over and hopefully someone buys this place soon or it will go out of business like most of Jacksonville. Bands, if you come to Northwest Florida, skip over San Marco, it's over rated! Hit the beaches or...
Read moreI’ve been to several shows here and wish it had only gotten better, but sadly that’s not the case. It is a small venue, which I’m not faulting them for. The lack of airflow/ac/whatever is going on is super uncomfortable especially being in a sold out show in a city that gets hotter than all can get out. Despite that and being unable to fully enjoy shows and even stay the duration of the show, the sound is decent and I feel like drinks aren’t crazy overpriced. Sadly, I will avoid this venue from here on out which sucks since there isn’t a great selection of small venues for smaller artists...
Read moreLove this venue, but saw a show tonight and all three acts were having issues with the vocals so we knew it wasn’t the artists. Not sure if it was faulty equipment or lack of proper sound check but we could not hear a single would any of the artists were singing along with the music. The bass was way too loud and this is coming from a bass lover that mainly listens to techno. Seriously one act was trying her hardest to be heard through the mic but it just was not being heard, no staff stepped in to fix it the entire three hours of the show, not that...
