I finally made it to this place in San Marco. This spot is a hidden gem! The food was fantastic. We had different kinds of oysters and they were incredibly fresh and flavorful! They have a range of non-alcoholic drinks, so we all indulged in some fancy drinks. We had three appetizers and main dishes to share, and all of them were absolutely incredible! Their presentation was so elegant, it felt like we were dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant. And let’s not forget about their desserts! You absolutely must try them. The homemade ice cream and chocolate crisps were the stars of the show! They looked like real caviar in a can! It was a delightful chocolate dessert that we all loved. I’m not a chocolate girl, so I really enjoyed the lemon bread pudding with blueberry. It was definitely my favorite! If you don’t like too much sweet, they have sorbet with champagne . This was such a refreshing treat. I think they change their menu occasionally to reflect the seasons so you should always ask them about special seasonal menu. Anyway, hands down! one of my best dining experiences in Jacksonville lately. Don't miss out on their "$2 Oysters" every Tuesday! Although they take walk-ins, I think reservations are a must I highly recommend it to anyone who loves seafood.

I have been looking forward to trying Brine for awhile. I had a friend visiting from out of town and I knew she’d love it. I didn’t make a reservation because a credit card is required and a charge is applied if you cancel within 24 hours of your res! That seemed a bit much. I’m sure it’s because it is a small space but a courtesy cancellation request would be less punitive. It was a Monday night and luckily we could walk right in and be seated. The place is super cute. We sat outside, which holds the majority of the seating (there are three dining tables inside). Sitting outdoors is great as it gets cooler out. The atmosphere and decor are absolutely lovely. The presentation of the meal was amazing. It’s truly an aesthetic and culinary experience at Brine. Our server was great and made excellent recommendations. I was a little put off by being charged for water, as I didn’t feel this was clear at the outset. Being asked “still or sparking” and replying with “still” to me didn’t convey that it was a charged item. I also wish they had a full bar (it’s beer and wine) but understand that the size of the establishment impacts the ability to get a liquor license. Overall, Brine is a great addition to San Marco.

Last night, my husband and I had a reservation at 7:30 at Brine for a date night. I had originally made the reservation for the courtyard, but was able to call and get it changed to the dining room with ease, since my husband spent all day working outside. We showed up right after 7:00 and were immediately seated at a table inside. There were three two top tables, and one larger booth. Our server (I forget her name but I think it started with a C/K) was attentive and knowledgeable. We were started off with glasses of tap water and we both ordered the nonalcoholic margarita. We started with a mixed dozen oysters and ordered the surf and turf for 2. Everything tasted amazing. During our date night there, a typical Jacksonville thunderstorm rolled through and it started thundering, lightning, and pouring pretty heavily. One of the staff members (female, sleeve tattooed arm) was assisting staff one by one to and from the courtyard tent with an umbrella while she was getting soaked with rain. What service! By far one of the best dining experiences my husband (a local) and I have had in Jacksonville. We can’t wait to be back!

Brine – Absolutely Exceptional – A Culinary Experience to Remember

Dining at Brine was truly unforgettable from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere that set the tone for an extraordinary evening. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between laid-back charm and refined elegance. Every detail—from the lighting to the table settings—was thoughtfully curated to elevate the experience. A special shoutout to Kelly, the outstanding manager, whose leadership and presence were felt throughout the night, setting the standard for top-tier service.

The service was nothing short of impeccable. The entire team was attentive, professional, and genuinely passionate about what they do. We felt truly cared for. Savannah and Shannon, our amazing servers, were exceptional—warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful with thoughtful recommendations and clear menu guidance. Thanks to them, our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable from beginning to end.

And the food—absolutely phenomenal! Chef Jess is an artist. Every dish was a masterpiece, showcasing fresh, vibrant seafood brought to life with creativity and precision. The flavors were bold yet balanced, blending tradition with modern flair. From the perfectly prepared starters to the rich, flavorful mains, every bite was a celebration of the sea. The desserts were equally memorable—elegant, indulgent, and beautifully presented. Each course exceeded expectations, both in flavor and presentation.

Brine isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a full sensory journey and a true celebration of seafood and hospitality. Whether you’re a seasoned seafood lover or simply looking for an exceptional meal, Brine is an absolute must. We can’t...
