River walk — Attraction in Jacksonville

The prettiest and longest continuous river walk I've seen in any city I've visited! Parts are under construction but what's open has been updated with benches, sun shades, great ambient lighting and very beautiful landscaping. The trail is wide enough to accommodate walkers, runners, dogs, bikers, scooters & a few homeless folks without feeling crowded. Very picturesque with great views of the skyline on either side. Construction instead of a Riverwalk. We were instructed to take the skyway across the river to have a walk, a drink, maybe a meal.... NOPE. Couldn't even gotten near the river. Instead, we went to a 7-11 which blared opera to keep the homeless off that corner. Bought beer and Cheetoes and watched TV. Not at all what...

Love to go here. This was North side. I like this side better even though currently parts are still under construction. You can go to love lock bridge and pending time and day River city Arts market. It is a very picturesque views of the city. Nighttime is the best. And you always seem to get a nice breeze...
