Great Food, Drinks, and Atmosphere!
Our visit to the VooDoo Brew Pub in Jacksonville was nothing short of amazing. Upon arrival, we were immediately captivated by the inviting ambiance and the cozy yet vibrant atmosphere that set the stage for a memorable meal.
We started our culinary journey with the Kimchi Tater Tots. These were an absolute treat—crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned, and each bite bursting with a harmonious blend of tangy kimchi flavors. It's a must-try and a perfect starter to whet your appetite.
Next, we indulged in the Pub Pretzels, which came with a side of delicious cheese sauce. The pretzels were soft, warm, and had just the right amount of saltiness, making each piece a delightful bite.
For our main course, we opted for the Quinoa Chickpea Burger and the unique Voo-Dill Pickle Pizza. The Quinoa Chickpea Burger was a revelation, combining a healthy blend of quinoa and chickpeas into a patty that was both hearty and flavorful. It was complemented perfectly by fresh greens and a delectable sauce, making it a satisfying and nutritious option.
The Voo-Dill Pickle Pizza was an adventurous choice, and it did not disappoint. The crust was perfectly baked, and the toppings were an inventive mix that provided a delightful surprise with every bite. The tanginess of the dill pickles paired with the rich, creamy base created a wonderful flavor medley that was both unique and delicious.
To accompany our meal, we enjoyed a selection of the beers, mock tails and crafted drinks. Each drink we tried was masterfully mixed and perfectly balanced, adding a refreshing touch to our dining experience. The drinks not only complemented our food but also stood out on their own as stellar.
In summary, the brewery excelled in every aspect—from the food and drinks to the atmosphere. Every dish looked and tasted delicious, leaving us thoroughly satisfied and planning our next visit. If you're looking for a place that offers great culinary delights, exceptional drinks, and a wonderful ambiance, this restaurant should be at the top...
Read moreI really wanted to like the Voodoo Brewing Co - Jax location so I want to believe that it's growing pains and that service will be better.
We stopped by recently to check it out. They knocked down some walls and combined the 2 restaurants that used to be there to make it a big roomy brewery with very fun esthetics downstairs and upstairs.
Unfortunately, service is very slow and the bartenders don't seem to want to be there. When we entered around 10pm on a Friday, we kind of just wandered around to take a peak at everything. There's a sign that says "please seat yourself" at the front but most of the tables were dirty.
We ended up sitting up at the bar and it took a few minutes before anyone even acknowledged us as they were too busy doing side work such as polishing glasses and stocking the bar. By that time, I had already grabbed our menus from where the cash register was located. She waited until I tried to put in a food order to tell me that the kitchen was closed... which would have saved us both 15 minutes. The people next to us ordered a pizza but it was very burnt when it came out so I was glad the kitchen was closed.
There are quite a few selection of beers with a very good range of types from Voodoo and local breweries. If you aren't sure what to order, I suggest trying a few with a flight as there are really a lot of beers to choose from. We were barely done with our flights when she brought back the check and it wasn't itemized so it was hard to tell how much they were... so I'm not sure if it's per pour or per flight.
Overall, the beer is pretty good... but the service needs a lot of work. We'll definitely give this place another try but probably further in the future so they have time to...
Read moreThis was our first time at Voodoo. It wasn’t very busy at lunch so we looked around, even popped in upstairs, and took a seat. Our server came over quickly and told us a little about the menu and beers. I ordered the salad with chicken, my brother-in-law the not so Philly Cheesesteak and my husband the brisket grilled cheese. Homemade chips were great. My salad and especially the chicken great, not your Philly Cheesesteak great, beers great, mocktail yummy, brisket grilled cheese not edible. There were literally chunks of fat on the sandwich with no meat attached to them. We let the server know, we didn’t want it taken off the bill just wanted the kitchen to be aware so no one else would be served the same sandwich. She let the manager/owner know and I saw him take it back to the kitchen. My only disappointment was that the manager didn’t come over and say something. He came back from the kitchen and went back to talking to the guys at the bar. We walked right past him on the way out and crickets. We’ll be back. The vibe is good and it’s a great addition...
