A great place to bring young children, my daughter loved it, there is so much to do. It costs $8 for each person to get in, 12 months and under are free. If you have an EBT card and present it at time of purchase you and 3 other people can get in for $3 a person. When you first go inside there is the front desk, immediately to the left is the age 3 and under specific area but they can still enjoy the rest too. They have a Veterinary, Dental, gym, pizzeria, bakers, grocery, farming play areas in the first section. The second play area has play cars, building blocks, lego, duplo, puppetry, dress up, small rock climbing wall and a pirate ship. The third play area has a Weather station, astronaut station, arts and crafts. There is also a area for parties and group events. A reading room, a quiet room and a nursing room are also available for use. 4 individual gender neutral bathrooms are also available for use, they are kid friendly of course. They do hold events that are definitely worth checking out! We will definitely be back!!

I am a mother of twins, and have been taking my babies here since they turned one. They are 2 1/2 now and our membership to Zing Zumm has been one of the most valuable things I’ve had as a parent. In their younger days it was a great place to have them play and explore in the gated baby/toddler area and know that they were safely contained. As they’ve gotten older, we’ve spent more time wandering the rest of the museum, participating in the daily programs, and coming to special events. I never would have imagined the sorts of things that interested them (this pizza parlor has a chokehold on them for some reason) and what they would learn just wandering around, discovering things, and getting to interact with other kids! Every once in a while when we show up, there will be something new or updated and it’s always a treat to see what’s in store! This place has saved my sanity many times when outdoor play is not an option, and the staff is always incredibly kind and helpful!

This place is a godsend! I brought my 7 year old grand twins and their 4 1/2 year old brother to give them some much needed activity and playtime. Since I brought them a few years ago they've really improved the place. Little storefronts for each play area. Lots more in the grocery and bakery section. (Thanks Publix). They move from one section to another and their imaginations sore. Grocery shopping, trip to the vet, the dentist, the post office, the credit union, the farm and its bees, climbing wall, building blocks, the play goes on. I recommend this place all the time. The space is large but all one giant room divided up so you can't lose your kids anywhere. (Unlike Wilmington children's museum which is so big when you have 3 kids who zoom in different directions you can lose sight of them). You can bring snacks as long as they eat them in the lobby not the play area. Clean space and clean bathrooms. Calming room for children who need it.

First (and last) time visitor Overall opinion: Could be better First thing we noticed on entry was the smell; kinda smelled like a diaper genie that was past needing to be emptied combined with the humidity in the building, not a great first impression. We decided to check it out to anyway avoid any meltdowns from the kiddos by leaving immediately. Majority of the play areas were in good repair and clean a few were more dingy but I get that there is high traffic so things do get run down. The pizzeria was a delight our kids had a fun time making and serving us pizza pies. As we made it through the building trying different sections I felt like I just kept waiting for it to open up and have something more to it but that just never happened. The climbing wall was very disappointing the hand and toe holds are too far and too few for the kids to really have fun there. Staff did do a good job of steadily walking around and putting toys back in there sections so that the kids could play with them however here is where things went very wrong on our visit and the reason why we will not be returning and I was only willing to rate them a one star review my 5yr old son who is autistic took off running and even though I was right behind him he still managed to make it out of my sight. I made a few laps around as did the family then approached the front desk to ask if the doors we came in were the only exit as I couldn’t find my son the staff said there was only the two exits near her I asked if any kids had exited alone and informed her I couldn’t find my son. The staff member literally could have cared less, at that point I asked if there was any staff available to help me locate him as he was autistic and doesn’t understand safe vs unsafe well (we are working on this) she was clearly annoyed and only when I looked at her like she was crazy did she attempt to walkie-talkie another employee Thankfully at this point our eldest daughter came around the corner holding his hand. We immediately left and will never return. The smell I could get past it is a children’s place after all but the lack of empathy for me as a clearly frantic parent coupled with the lack of urgency shown to help locate a missing child that I...

My baby spit up but I successfully made it to the hard floor 😅 another sweet parent told the reception for me. A staff member came over immediately, was empathetic & cleaned up while I comforted the baby. The best part was that she said something to him like, “don’t worry, we all have trouble eating sometimes.” That was really comforting to me because I was a little stressed and embarrassed and what she said kind of stuck with me all day. So much that I’m awake at 2am writing this review lol

I try to come with my infant at least one morning a week and we hang out in the gated area at the front. I feel we are “protected” from the more mobile kids in there, while still able to enjoy seeing them play and interact which is important to his development and the whole reason I bring him.

There’s almost always another baby or three when I go which is great. The other parents are nice and obviously the staff is awesome.

The museum itself will really blow your mind “for Jacksonville.” It’s a real gem for kids in the area. I think it’s better than others I’ve been to in larger cities nearby (Fayetteville and Wilmington. They’re good to visit also. I just can’t believe ours is so nice.)

And somehow my baby hasn’t gotten sick yet. I know it’s inevitable and not a terrible thing when/if he catches something, but I think that says a lot about how much they...

July 30, 2025 I was there with 4 toddlers.(2 other adults). Such a fun interactive morning with so many fun things to do. We were there for about 4 hours and they still didnt want to leave. There was so much we didn't even get to do. Every center was clean and well organized and the overall overall experience was amazing. This was such a fun way to spend time with our grandchildren. They went from center to center and we played along, from making pizza, playing mail delivery and being a veterinarian. The very friendly staff was constantly keeping the centers clean and returning items. They got to participate in a fun well organized craft/ science project as well. We attended this museum a little more than a year ago and they had added new centers. We had suggested last time to add a picnic area and they did. We packed lunches and ate outside, so we didn't actually have to leave for lunch. Thank you for this added amenity. One of the best kids museums I have ever been in. Great job. The only suggestion is some areas are starting to be worn and well loved. (Especially the farm area), but it was still super fun. We love the bee items, since we have bees. Thanks again for a great 4...
