I booked my appointment with Amanda & had told her I wanted my hair to be ombré (darker brown root, transitioning into blonde at the roots). When I arrived at my appointment, I showed her a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like & all she told me was that she couldn’t get it as platinum blonde on the ends, she gave absolutely no indication that she couldn’t deliver what I was requesting. Before starting my hair she did ask if I was “sure” I wanted to “do this” to my hair as it “could fry it” & proceeded to say she could prevent “frying” my hair if I opted to pay an extra $45 for a special conditioning treatment. I had to decline the conditioning treatment as I only had enough money budgeted to pay for the $195 (plus tip) that the shampoo, cut & color was about to cost me. She said that was fine & it would be fine to proceed without it. At the end of my appointment I was incredibly disappointed as my hair looked exactly the way it did when I walked into the salon (minus the wash & her straightening it at the end). It was all basically one color with a couple noticeable strips of blonde but absolutely no ombré look to it at all. It was difficult for me but I told Amanda I had hoped it would be a lot more blonde and actually look like an ombré. She kept telling me how pretty she thought it looked. When I said I still wished it’d turned out more blonde & that I was going for a more drastic change, her demeanor completely changed, she was a bit huffy & told me she could redo the whole process for an additional $100 charge. I was so upset, I actually left & cried in my car until I could compose myself enough to call the salon & ask to speak with the manager, Kristy. I explained to Kristy what had just happened, she apologized & stated the stylist should have told me before the appointment that my hair wouldn’t turn out exactly like the picture I showed her & offered to get me in the next day to have a different stylist fix my hair so it would be more blonde like I wanted. An hour before my appointment to “fix” my hair, the manager contacted me stating that in speaking with Amanda (the original stylist) there was “a discrepancy” in my story & she asked that I email her the photos I showed Amanda; I did & the manager then accused me of lying about the photo I showed the stylist vs. the one I emailed to her. She said I could still come in & they would fix my hair but when I got there, I was greeted by dirty looks. The new stylist, Alicia (who was at least very nice), said she “wouldn’t dare” bleach my hair again (really odd considering barely any blonde was added the first time) & I asked if I could just get a refund instead; at this point I was nervous they would purposely harm my hair, I was frustrated that I wasnt given quality service at my first appointment & now they were declining to deliver on what the manager promised to deliver to correct the first appointment. Conveniently, the manager wasn’t present for this “make up” appointment for Alicia to ask her about the refund. They ended up calling the manager who said a refund was absolutely not in the question. Alicia said the best they could offer was to add a few blonde foils for me which she did. My hair still doesn’t look anything like I had hoped it would when I made the first appointment & the customer service was nonexistent both times. I will never go back to Panache, not even for my nails after this incident & I certainly will not recommend them to anyone else. I don’t want anyone else to have such a...
Read moreSOLT SPA: I recently visited for the first time to try out the salt cave and massage chairs. The salt cave is beautiful and serene. I loved the salt below my toes, starry sky and big gravity chairs to take it all in (blankets included!). It’s like visiting another realm. Yesterday, my sister visited from out of town and we went for a “sister’s day”. We experienced the float tank, contrast therapy room (cold plunge and sauna), and ended with the massage chairs. there’s a great instructional video so you know what you’re going to be doing in the float tank (I love instructions) and once you are in the tank you can adjust everything to your liking. I couldn’t believe how there really is no effort needed to float and you feel like a feather. You have the option for a starry night or you can have no lights. The contrast therapy room is larger than I imagined. There’s two cold plunge tanks of varying degrees and you may go back-and-forth between the tanks and the sauna that’s in the same room. There’s a shower provided as well within the room just like the float tanks. I have never seen a contrast therapy room before although I have done cold plunges. This is a one of a kind experience and was exciting and relaxing at the same time. All experiences were Five Stars. The Atmosphere is relaxing and private. Robes and spa sandals are nice to travel around in. Everything is high-quality and there’s no detail spared on the experience. The café next-door has a great ambience with fresh choosing. All of the staff members are very helpful, personable, and friendly. The services and atmosphere are big city customizations without the big city price tag. I’ll be...
Read moreI figured if I left a review I would be contacted about the disappointment but I guess not! I asked for the front of my already blonde to be blended and to reach an icy blonde/ reach a balayage look with using a color to match my natural color. She was very kind, but the front piece is the only icy blond color the rest is still really warm blonde. I was also disappointed after checking out to find out the haircut was 30$ extra and I don’t like the cut, any other place I’ve gone you get any color treatment it comes with a trim, I would have never let her cut if I knew it was going to be another 30$ on top of a conditioning treatment I didn’t know would cost another 35$ my hair feels rough, and not conditioned what so ever. ALSO, was not told how a toner would cost 30$, especially when my entire head wasn’t toned. So all and all, I paid 177$ plus tip to come home and finish blow drying my own hair bc I left damp, to see my hair was still not the correct tone I thought I was paying for, and no sight of any balayage look in my hair but seemed to have way more blonde. I feel bad as she was very polite but 182$ should get a customer exactly what they wanted and asked for. The cut is also jagged! For 30$$$$$ Over...
