The Millbottom — Attraction in Jefferson City

My experience with the Millbottom was perfect! I did extensive research looking for venues in Jefferson City, Hermann, and Columbia, and I settled on the Millbottom because it offered so much more at a great price. Margaret, the venue coordinator, was very helpful with booking and scheduling a Facetime call (since we were located out of state) so that we could tour the venue and see what it looked like. Margaret also gave us a tour when we came to town a few months after booking. She is very helpful, and even offers day-of coordination at a reasonable price. You get the venue for 2 and a half days. It's absolutely stunning and perfect for pictures. There's a nice bar, patio, balcony, and clean rest rooms. The only thing I wish they had would be bridal/groomsmen suites, but we ended up booking a beautiful historic Airbnb in downtown Jefferson City to get ready at, so it all worked out! The Millbottom is just a few steps away from the beautiful Missouri Capitol in Jefferson City. The venue is beautiful. It was originally a power plant built in the late 1800s and became operational in 1905. The interior is a beautiful mix of old bricks and industrial metals. It can hold a capacity of 250 guests. Attended a fundraiser event for Boy Scouts of America here with live band, plenty of hors d'oeuvres, beer, and wine + chocolate pairing. Venue was clean and friendly but was a bit large for event since crowd was enjoying the seats rather than stand up tables. Definitely a great venue for 100-300 people but anything smaller might make it strange. Definitely plan to come again for future events...
