Decent diner food, good price, TERRIBLE service. We waited nearly 30 minutes after our order was taken to get our food. Only when our server walked past us, carrying her own food, did she notice us again. The entire time no one checked on us, got us water, gave us an expectation on when to receive our food, etc. The food itself was good, and for a really good price. However, it’s just basic breakfast food, and I would much rather make it myself at home than be subject to such awful service. When our food finally did arrive, my date and I were subject to the two servers then complaining loudly about some aspect of their work, often quoting how hard they work for their customers in the store (the irony is not lost on me). Right, yes, everyone has problems at work, but perhaps don’t disturb your paying customers, who are already trying their best to enjoy their quite late meal, with moaning and groaning about tweedle dee and tweedle dum. I’m not going to tip when the service is non existent. As we were leaving, I assume it was our server who banged loudly on the window after us. We didn’t leave any belongings, are you trying to scare us into tipping?
Leaving two stars for the kitchen staff, the only redeeming quality of this...
Read moreTried this place out for the first time. Literally the worst first impression. Being ignored. Saying welcome in and it'll be a wait is literally the bare minimum guys, and you didn't even do that. We awkwardly stood there for like 10 minutes while people stared at us. It took everything in me not to walk right out. All while staff is walking by us a ton of times ignoring us. They acted like they were swamped but even if every table would've been full (was not) there's not enough tables to even act swamped. IGNORED us when we were sat down, staff weren't communicating, food mishap and server used her dirty hands to move food over that we could've just done ourselves, we did not complain nor ask her to touch it. Food was good but our waitress didn't even bring our plates. Actually, someone else had taken our drink order too since she ignored us yet again after ignoring us at the door. We still tipped $5 but she honestly didn't deserve a cent. Felt laughable that the lowest suggested percent was almost $10 with service like that. There was a really nice man there however, he's the one that ended up taking our drink order, really wish he was our server, we love to tip overly generously to people...
Read moreI went here for a Saturday late lunch. The place was crowded, and the staff handled the large number of customers very well! I had the short-stack with ham, eggs, and coffee.
The ham was excellent and high quality. I didn't have the bacon, but visually that looked really good too. The eggs were good, but not great or terrible. The coffee was slightly below par. $1.99 for a cup and the flavor was a little too bland and burnt. For $1.19 I'd say it was great. For $1.69 I'd say it was on par.
The short-stack, however, didn't hold form, and soaked up the syrup too fast. The pancake disintegrated as you cut it, and I'm afraid to say that here I was disappointed. They should consider changing the recipe for the batter.
All in all, I'm impressed and will be back to try more. I love breakfast food, and this place gives off a cozy, down to Earth, diner feel. I suspect if I had gotten the omelet or a burger, this would be a...
