I've been to this shop a handful of times. The store owner, Nikki, is just lovely. She is bubbly, kind, and friendly. The shop itself is quite attractive and well organized. I love how the shirts are organized by size and color.
While for the most part the clothing items aren't my style, I have been able to find a few gems to add to my wardrobe. I would say, since I'm a thrift shopper, that the clothing is priced higher. But I understand that because it's a consignment store and a small business. If I find pieces I enjoy, I don't mind paying a little more to support a small business.
My main objection is the music. Sometimes it's fairly benign pop, but this last time I visited the music was quite distasteful (semi-explicit lyrics and sensual beats). I probably ought to have said something to the owner, but I was so intent on leaving to get away from the music that I didn't. It was bad enough to make me not want to shop there again. I realize music is a matter of preference, but I still hope they will change their...
Read moreAs a plus size woman who has almost 100 lbs I decided to take some clothing into Snob Shop. I was hoping they would be interested in some and get some credit to purchase myself some smaller clothing for myself. But to my surprise I was told "sorry but it just wasn't our style and we don't sell above a 3x". I was floored and speechless in the moment. I had looked at a few things on their racks and seen they had the same brands of clothing I had (Maurices, Old Navy, Terra and Sky, Croft, Nautica, and Vanity Fair etc) but mine "wasn't their style". Make that make sense. Some of my clothing hadn't even been wore and brand new. It is sad they didn't want any clothing over 3x and refuse to offer big beautiful women clothing at discounted prices. Sadly I decided I would not only leave with my personal items but without becoming a customer and purchasing something. I will take my items and donate locally and hope to bless someone in need with some nice gently...
Read moreI liked the name of this shop - Snob Shop - as I associated it with good quality clothing and accessories, similar to what I've experienced at a franchise like Uptown Cheapskate in other states. But I've tried Snob Shop twice, with a year or so interval between the two visits, to see if there's been a difference between the first and second visits. No. There seem to be a LOT of Old Navy pieces, a brand I do not associate with quality. I can get this and similar brands at the local Goodwill (which I visit), if I want. Most of my clothing comes from thrift or consignment shops, so I've...
