Diem Angie — Attraction in Jefferson Township

I had Pati for bridal hair and makeup & she did a fantastic job. I didn’t have a trial done so I was a bit anxious, but she was able to understand what I was going for based on my inspo pics and I loved it! My bridesmaids had Jackie for hair & Karolina for makeup, and were happy with the quality of work as well. Everyone was beautiful.

However, there was a mishap because the makeup schedule was done out of order and my mom started later than she was scheduled to. I really wish Karolina followed the schedule that was created and shared prior. My mom does not speak English and my SO’s grandma is elderly and got confused. If the stylist simply checked the premade schedule, we would have not had this situation or regret. It hurts me greatly that I’m even blaming myself, when I know that logically as a bride, I was just overwhelmed with getting my own hair done at the moment and not being able to focus on the others. I also did ask Pati to take over or start my mom’s makeup but she said she was unable to based on the contract/schedule, but at that point, the schedule wasn’t even being followed correctly as grandma wasn’t even next in line after my mom. Due to this schedule change, after 3 days have passed since the wedding, I realized we missed some crucial photos with just me and my mom. As the bride, I was preoccupied with multiple thoughts and was focusing on my own timeline. I can’t redo that moment and it did make my heart ache greatly and it even made me cry, but I feel like it could have been prevented easily.

I prepaid & had the option to pretip before the event which made it easy for me to not have to handle cash the day of. I did send a list of names to Diem to specify which ladies were getting add-on makeup but I don’t believe this info was communicated to the artists and my girls did not know they had to tell or remind the artist, so we did have many missed airbrush/extra lashes. We did figure out refund/payment discrepancies promptly the next business day. My girls were disappointed they didn’t all get their touch-ups either.

I understand that Diem is likely the only one that handles scheduling and helping out with the details for all the stylists, but communication could be improved since it took many repeated emails to get a response. For one example, for 1 inquiry, I asked Diem a question and she responded regarding an entirely different question 4 days later. In another example, I had to re-ask for the 4th time before I got my response. Overall, we were pleased with the quality of the makeup, but I wish communication was smoother and more timely, and the agreed upon schedule was followed...

I could not be more thrilled with how Alex did my hair and makeup on my wedding day. I wasn’t 100% happy with my trial (which is not Alex’s fault, I just really didn’t know what I wanted until I saw what I didn’t want!) After my trial, Diem and Alex both followed up with me regarding what I liked and if there was anything I wanted to do differently. I had a list of things I decided I wanted to do differently from my trial, from the eyeshadow, eyebrows, and type of fake eyelashes that I wanted, to the hairstyle and hairpiece I wanted to use. When I saw the final look on my wedding day, I was in LOVE. Alex incorporated my hairpiece beautifully even though I didn’t have it for her during my trial, and everything honestly was perfection. Even though it was June and I didn’t think it was going to rain, we ended up getting married in a downpour. My hair and makeup stayed absolutely perfect, and my eyeliner didn’t smudge or drip. I was so impressed! I even had guests tell me they didn’t know how my hair still was so perfect during the reception even though I got completely drenched during the ceremony. My bridesmaids also all had only good things to say about how their hair and makeup held up in the rain and throughout the course of the evening. I had six girls needing to get hair AND makeup done, and between Alex, Patricia, and Lesley, they were able to get the entire wedding party ready in 4.5 hours (my first bridesmaid started at 11am, the last one finished at 3:30pm, which is incredible! It was so nice to not have a 7am start time for hair and makeup, and everyone was able to sleep in and wake up well-rested, but also not have their hair and makeup feel rushed) Thank you so much Diem...

I was a bridesmaid at my cousin's wedding, and I wanted to applaud this team. The bride looked like an angel, the bridesmaids and mothers also looked so beautiful, and the team was so pleasant to work with. I will absolutely recommend their services to others.

Personally, I don't remember ever feeling that beautiful since my own wedding day. People complemented me the entire day on my hair and makeup.

My hairstylist Melissa was a miracle worker. I suffer from hair loss, and have short hair, but she was able to create an updo that made my hair look so full. She is so talented!!!

Also, Nadia did my makeup and I was blown away by her artistry. She used MAC products, which I love because that is what I use myself as well. As an indian woman, finding the right foundation shade is such a challenge (too light and you are ashy, and you don't want to look too dark either). Her color choices was perfect! I also have horrible under-eye puffiness and circles, which she made disappear. looked like myself, but so much better! Also, the false eyelashes are totally worth it. The makeup was perfectly done and lasted the whole day looking just as perfect. I really had a hard time making myself wash my face that night, haha!

In addition, Nadia is such a nice and sweet person that was such a pleasure to talk to. She also was also great with my 12yo daughter. I loved my daughter's make up as well. Again she had great choice of color and the makeup was very age-appropriate.
