
I've never been the type to go online and write a bad review about a location. But I've been working for a corporate company and we strive to make our customers feel like part of our family. What's the need to mention corporate? Well just follow along you'll see what I mean. I just moved back from California a few months now and started shopping for a gym membership. This location is only 2 mins away from my house, naturally I drifted here first went online where a 7 day pass was announced. I want to see what gyms offer specially with this new "normal". I walk in this location with my guest pass, here the front desk directed me to a short guy who's name I won't mention .I don't want to throw him under the bus that bad. Anyway he asks for my I.D. I hand it over then he says he can't allow me to have a guest pass because records show I had a guest pass 10 years ago in 2011.....At this I simply kindly say ...."but 10 years ago".... He says ...."well that's corporate I can't do nothing about that". Without care he got up and left the desk, funny thing is he even gave me a mean mug lmao . I got up and walked out. Dear short guy, find a job you actually like if you can't greet people with a smile or find a way to get them to spend their money in your company. Dear corporate don't be silly and make the changes necessary not just the ones customers need to do (masks). So now I'm looking into other gyms farther from home but I will get to see what their experience is like before I get a membership. One last question corporate, do you really tie your employees hands to not be able to acommodate your possible customers?

Read moreMember since 2012. I visited this facility about 3 years ago before and it was a nice gym with the employees and atmosphere. This recent visit I had brought a friend who was planning on switching gyms but the service was terrible! The moment we walked in there was a certain attitude given to us after we had asked about guest check in. We brushed it off as nothing.
We headed over to guest check in which was on the other side of the check in desk. The gentleman that was servicing the iPad stepped away as my friend typed her info in. When he came back he barked at her “you’re done! No more!”
When we were leaving we decided to get a protein shake. The girl that was servicing the drinks was very concerned about the two younger men sitting next to us. She turned her head to me and asked with piercing eyes, “protein shake right?” I was surprised by her response and said “excuse me?” Her demeanor changed and she then said “ would like a protein shake?” My friend and I were still deciding so we asked for a moment. Once we had decided we spoke with the girl and the interaction went better. Once we were finished paying we were waiting for my friends drink to be finished. Another younger guy came over that the girl began speaking with and started to take his order for a shake. She then turned her head back to us with piercing eyes “oh I forgot I finished making your drink.”
I do not plan to ever return to this gym. The humidity and smell of the place was enough to deal with but the service just tipped it over the top. Never again! I prefer the Harwood Heights location more and will continue...
Read moreToday, January 3,2022, I called this location to cancel my membership because of the mandatory vaccination requirement for entry. When I called I asked the woman for on the phone if they would be requiring proof of vaccination and she explained they would be. I then asked her if I can cancel my membership as I do not wish to get vaccinated at this time and she said “well then you can next time”… hmm, “I can next time what?!” She said, “you can get the vaccine.” Wth! Who are you “VERONICA at the front desk” to tell me I can not cancel my membership unless vaccinated to enter the building and do so!!! Completely unprofessional! Veronica then continued to explain that she was told to explain that to people inquiring about the vaccination verification! You have got to be kidding me XSPORT!!! You’re suggesting to people to get the vaccine or they can not cancel their membership!!! I will be contacting corporate as this is completely unacceptable. If you want the vaccine that is your right! But do not push it on those who aren’t ready or don’t feel the need to provide medical papers to irrelevant people!
Side note: I have been going to this location for years! I live 35 minutes away and for a few reasons I kept going to the brickyard location. The main reason being that most people are there to workout and not mingle like other locations.
UPDATE*: I never received any call it email back in regards to my concerns or canceling my membership. The following month I had gotten charged again. I had to fight the charges through my bank and cancel that way. Get it...
