TL;DR Inconsistent pricing. Poor shaping and iffy execution. I asked for coffin and got square. I was set for a 2:30 but was told to come in at 2 last minute. Was kinda frustrating as I had set plans but accommodated. Front desk and technicians do not coordinate. They tell you different quotes and prices. I felt played after leaving and talking to a friend about my experience and comparing it to my past experiences. I asked for a quote on the phone and texted pic inspos. Was told basic acrylic starts at $65 and designs generally $50-60. I sent a pic and was told my design would come to about $110-120. I was told other designs I sent are more technical designs because they’re hand painted which they charge up to $70 for and require advanced notice. So I opted for the $120. I was told on the phone this was not hand painted or too technical with 3d flowers like the other options I sent etc and would be regular design. I was told this was the most basic of the inpos. We spent a good 10-15 min on the phone as I wanted to make sure I was informed going in. Apparently that was a waste of time. I was tired and it was my birthday. I knew something was off but didn’t argue too much right and then when he said it adds to $150 once I got there in person. I tried to ask twice and brought up what front desk said on phone and text but he stuck to his quote and at that point I was over it. He tried to say that if I wanted the Inspo pic for what front desk quoted me we’d have to just do basic french. Made no sense based off my previous conversation. For the sake of peace I said fine. I also felt like I was bothering them by directing too much so I just stayed quiet especially about the shape. Not sure how I ended up being up charged $85 for design (when I was told it would be about $50 add on for the Inspo pics) and the breakdown makes no sense. For reference these ended up being $150. How was I charged $85 for a design that’s not 2nd or 3rd tier? I would have rather had my other options if I was going to be up charged regardless? I also called other places that quoted me $150 for the full design and 3d flower art & butterflies from my first choice Inspo pic. Honestly would have gone there to get my first choice if I was going to pay that regardless. If they are inconsistent with me they’ll be inconsistent with you. For a student this is frustrating. I wish they were transparent and not sneaky. I had to pick the simplest option and got up charged. Also the shape was entirely off as coffin is my go to. I tried to like it for my birthday but kinda pissed the more I look at them. I also didn’t have a choice for the gold type. That changed the look a lot for me. I was courteous and tipped regardless but I was just trying to have a good day as it was my birthday. Waking up with regrets. The artist tried but he definitely played me with the pricing tier. Execution was okay with the pearls but the chrome borders should’ve been a shape matching the nail. I’m an artist in different mediums so I was a bit disappointed at the execution. The only thing I liked were the heart and pearls. The shape and gold tone (wanted a classier champagne gold) messed it up for me big time. Not cool.

This was my first time coming to this nail salon to get a gel manicure. Since I am not from this area and am visiting my friend, I decided to stop by to get a gel manicure as it was conveniently located in the lobby of of my friend's building as I couldn’t wait any longer to get them done when I’m back home. Back home, I usually get a dry russian manicure with hard gel top coat done for my nails and was aware that this salon does not offer the dry russian manicure as a service. Upon entering, the environment felt very unwelcoming as all the ladies just stared at me rather than telling me where to go for the receptionist. Nail techs were busy on their phones or chatting with each other. My appointment was booked for 11 and I was there waiting from 10:55 am as my nail tech was running late (by 35 mins) because of the client prior to me. I noticed my nail tech on her phone as she had no idea I was waiting for her until I reminded the receptionist that I'm waiting and I got into the seat at 11:35. Throughout the process of removing the old polish off my nails, the nail tech kept insisting that I had acrylics on but I do not deal with acrylics as I'm not a fan of it. I last did my nails back on July 28th prior to coming to stay with my friend and my nails grew out since then. I myself had cut/shape it 3 weeks ago because of the length. My nails are NATURALLY grown with the help of monthly dry russian manicures and the hard gel polish that my nail tech back at home uses. After getting my nails done today, my nails feel weak, brittle, and I have a burning sensation in my nails and I am not sure why that is!!! I had gotten cut on different fingers. The gel manicure felt rushed for me as my service was completed in 30 minutes. At the last, I am hoping that this manicure somewhat lasts until I get back home at the end of the month and will do my nails again with my regular nail tech. When I come back to visit my friend in the future, I will not be coming back here!

I usually have noting but good to say about the cuticles west side location, however this time is different. I will start off by saying I’m not a complainer I’m a very quiet we’ll paying client (I tip we’ll too) and I’m generally easy to please. I often get a simple flat color and am in and out! On June 3rd I had an appointment and seen Kay, whom I’ve seen many times. He’s quiet I’m quiet never any issues he painted my nails one solid color (yellow) I said they look great and thank you so much. I went to the counter paid for my service and searched the Venmo/cash app list to tip Kay as I usually do. I venmoed Kay $10 and he “❤️” the payment… I booked my next appointment for today 7/7/23 at 2 pm (9 days in advance) I get an automated text at 10:51 am today saying my appointment was cancled! No explanation nothing! I go ahead and book a last min appointment with someone else I don’t know and proceed to try to find out what happened. I was told that there is a note on my file “do not book with Kay” the reasoning… he dosnt feel comfortable…… excuse me what? I’ve only ever said “hello” and “thank you so much” bairly ever made eye contact…. As I said I’m quiet and polite never have issues or complaints, before finding out that Kay “black listed” me for absolutely no reason he was my FAVORITE simply because his work is great every time. I feel treated unfairly, I will never attempt to book with him again. Loyal, easy going and we’ll paying customers should never be treated this way. I’m sure my appointment was cancled with a bogus “reason” so that he can give my slot to someone who was requesting a bigger job.. it’s all about money. Kim is who I seen today! Her work is just as good she is super polite and kind. I don’t talk much at these appointments but Kim can hold a good conversation ❤️. I will book with Kim again in the future.I love my nails, thank you Kim

This place deserves zero stars. I have gone to this location only once before for a pedicure. Today I decided to try a pedicure again and also wax my legs. The worst experience ever I should have just stuck with the pedicure. The pedicure was okay I can deal with it. The wax was the worst thing ever. Supposedly they have decent wax experts according to the staff but not the lady I had, Tina. I would never go to her again for anything. She was very aggressive and put hot wax on my thighs and spreads it rough. I told her it was too hot but she continues anyway. Which I should have stopped but I let her continue. There was a lady that kept coming in the room multiple times which I told Tina I'm not comfortable with that. No one should come in the room when their not properly dressed. Tina laughs thinking it's a joke. When she gets to my legs (bottom half) she was running out of wax. Instead of her explaining to me she wouldn't be able to continue because she didn't have enough wax and the other wax wasn't warm yet, she tries to put what she has on my legs and it's cooling off so she's spreading it rough hurting my legs I finally had enough and told her to stop although she didn't want to I was completely done. They charged me for full legs with 20% off which isn't right because she didn't do my full legs just the upper half (thighs). They offer me a day to come in this week to get the bottom half done over. Which honestly I don't want done with this place I rather go someplace else. I'm embarrassed having someone walking in the room multiple times when I wasn't dressed. I was so upset I went to the other location which is out of my way to talk to the manager which to me was no help. Although I explained what happened (she talked to her staff only and never spoken with me) she didn't offer me my money back just for someone else to do my wax. I even showed her my legs and her solution was to just have someone wax me within three days. Any place else i have went to if there was a problem like this I wouldn't have been charged for a service that wasn't completed. But here it seems as though they are greedy for money. They knew Tina was horrible at waxing and and probably other services and still allow her to wax people. I rather not do business at all now. I'm done. I had a group I wanted to have come with me next month for my birthday (I do yearly) but it definitely won't be with them at all. Glad I didn't go for a Brazilian.

After seeing the responses from multiple people I'm definitely uncomfortable with going there for my waxes. I will go back to EWC where I was never charged for a bad service or had anyone come in the room while I'm not dressed. As I explained this should have been handled differently. I have to walk around for days with my legs half done that's embarrassing. These are the complaints from people of how you handle things otherwise you wouldn't have so many...

Very disappointed in the treatment I received from Anna (@getnailedby_anna) the nail tech that works in the West Side location. I am a very loyal client and have been searching for a stable nail tech after my girl of 10 years moved. I found Anna so I came to her total of 3 times. The trouble began when I was running late to my appointment, I courteously called the salon to clarify the grace period of 15 min late and make sure that’s ok. I respect all policies so if circumstances happen, I always make sure to do this the correct way. I specifically told the front desk I will only be 10 min late. The front desk said no worries they have an 15 min grace period. No problem. Immediately Anna said she cannot do my designs only do basic nails. I got confused because I didn’t ask for anything crazy, I had only asked for 2 fingers with some chrome…. No big deal…. But she couldn’t do that for me and said I never added it on the service. I did add-on the service, I even messaged Anna on ig the night prior about the 2 fingers I’d do.

So tracing back to previous appointments, how come the last 2 times I had to wait 20 min past my appointment for Anna? Without any complaints, I understood and moved on. So it should go both ways because things happen sometimes. I’m not being unreasonable or completely dramatic asking for a crazy design 10 nails being late 30 min. I respect all policies but we are human and this is just very dismissive. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth how some people look at us as just money signs.

I think It was a little messed up to not accommodate me with the 2 finger design. I was only running 10 min late…. I never had this problem before. I didn’t ask for anything crazy for my nails. I called the salon and I didn’t expect it.

So therefore I had to entirely cancel my appointment for today, and she told me I wasted her time. 10 min late was nothing extreme. We all could’ve been happy. But I was disrespected and wasn’t going to go to someone like this. Beware of nail techs like this they think they are somebody we are desperate for, and some of us genuinely would like a good relationship with them so we can happily return for more services.

You can’t build a good relationship with your clients with that approach, it’s a shame people are that way. I never had this issue but I will not come to somebody that will dismiss me like this. It was 10 min lateness, 2 nail design. Let’s not forget how many times we give them our time waiting when they run late 15-20 min with clients before us.

I love cuteicles I have been coming here for everything. So I will not let 1 person affect me. But please don’t let this be ignored on behalf of myself and future customers.

Thank you I will not be back with Anna....
