I always used this dealership in the past when purchasing or leasing new cars. However, this year when I had to renew a lease on a car, I was not pleased with their service. They claim they want to give you a good deal but they are not.
To begin with, the salesman tried to tell me that I needed to put down a deposit (granted it was refundable) to reserve/order a new car because they did not have/keep any in stock on the lot before he could "run any numbers," and tell me what the monthly payment would be. I later found out, that is not true. They can "run the numbers," put in the purchase, and order the new car for you. For whatever reason, this dealership has trained their sales team not too, as a sales tactics to try to force you to do a deal with them.
On top of that, the salesman was not open to negotiate the value of the leased car that I was turning in. To give you perspective, the leased car I was turning in was practically brand new and had less than 13,000 miles on it after 3 years!! I knew what the KBB value was and he came in way below that with a low-ball offer. Also, I didn't like his attitude. I could tell he was trying to rip me off instead of work out a deal with me.
Anyhow, against my better judgment, I put down a deposit, just to be safe. Then, I went shopping around at other locations, where as I mentioned above, I later found out that no deposit is required to, "run numbers." So, I then I called the salesman and told him to issue a refund for my "reservation deposit." After a week, I noticed the refund hadn't come through so I followed up to remind him. Guess what? It turns out the salesman never cancelled the deposit or issued my refund. How did I found out you ask? The manager called me to notify me that the car I ordered came in. I had to tell the manager that I told his salesman to cancel/issue my refund over two weeks ago! Apparently, his manager was unaware that I wanted to cancel the deposit. On top of that, the manager still tried to haggle me to make a deal at the dealership, even after all that shady behavior from his salesman. Long story short, I am still waiting to see if they’ve issued my refund and I did not renew the lease with them. Instead I am going somewhere else.
Overall, like I mentioned above. I was not pleased with their service. They claim they want to give you a good deal but they are not. Do your research on how car sales work and don't walk in there blindly because they will try to rip you off if they can. At the end of the day the dealership just cares about moving units. They don't care about giving you a good deal or not. If they can rip you off in the process they will! Unfortunately, they just lost a good customer. We purchased a 2018 Highlander, which I absolutely love! This is the 7th vehicle we have purchased from Hudson Toyota and the 5th that one that we have purchased from our sales person Edwar Guzman. As always Edwar was genuinely interested in our family’s needs and worked with us to find the perfect vehicle. He did everything from showing us the various cars we had seen on Hudson Toyotas website, to keeping my son entertained while I discussed the vehicles we viewed with my wife. I have never met a salesman who is as devoted to his customers as Edwar is. He is one of the main reasons I continue to purchase cars from Hudson Toyota. I am happy to say that after all these years my five star review is still true.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I want to start off by thanking my sales representative Edwar Guzman. Hudson Toyota should feel blessed and priveldged to have such an honest, caring, and knowledgable employee. I love my 2014 RAV4!!! This is the 3rd car in a row that my wife and I have purchased from Edwar and the 5th car overall from Hudson Toyota. When compared to my enounters with other salesmen I can honestly say that his kindness and chivalry are unmatched, during a day in age where customer service is lacking. From the first time I met Edwar Guzman he was genuine and personable; therefore, I never felt like I was talking to a salesman. I am a father of two small children and my wife and I were looking for a vehicle that was not too pricey, but also fit our growing family. Where as most salesmen would have pushed me toward a more expensive vechicle like a 4 Runner, Highlander, or Sienna for the sake of commission, Edwar understood our financial needs and put us in the perfect vehicle. I have refered many friends and family to Edwar, who have also purchased vechiles at Hudson Toyota. They also feel that he is exceptional and intend to continue to purchase vechiles from him. Currently I live half a mile from Sansone Auto Mall, but choose to travel because of Edwar and the excellent customer service I recieve at Hudson Toyota. She quickly scheduled our appointment and paired us with Michael Beard, our sales representative, who took us to see the Tacomas. Qulzam worked diligently to navigate pricing, while Mohammed helped answer all our insurance and trade-in questions.
