United States Postal Service — Attraction in Jersey City

The post office is supposed to be open at 8:30 a.m. I had to run a bunch of errands and had a tight schedule that day. I get to the post office at 9:00 a.m. and it was closed. No sign, nothing. In addition to myself there were two other people waiting to get in. What is that about? They closed in the middle of the day with no one there to cover lunch hours, and here it is a Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. and no one is there to take care of me. Unbelievable and unacceptable. If I could give a zero I would.

Why does a FEDERAL GOVT office close in the middle of the day to go to lunch? Today's handwritten sign said "will be closed from 1155a to 125p to take lunch and break". What the heck is going on? I encountered an employee who displayed very poor customer service. The employee appeared disinterested, spent the entire time on the phone, and barely acknowledged my presence. There was a lack of communication throughout the interaction, leaving me puzzled. However, when another person arrived, that employee suddenly became more talkative. While I cannot determine the cause of this inconsistency, it was disappointing. Some staff members are patient and friendly, while others fall short. Improvement in service...

The staff was super grouchy and didn't enforce the mask policy at all. They were so slow in serving the queue. They would find one problem at a time, make me wait in line again, and then find another problem for which I had to wait in line again.
