I would have left 0 stars if i could..... I can not understand how a company does business is such a manner as this guy, and stays in business. My husband pre-ordered/reserved 2 sacks on Monday March 3rd, and we were told to arrive at 12 to pick them up. We arrived a little early because we were on this side of town, and there was a line from the building almost to Jones Rd. We stood in line waiting for them to even open the doors until 12:45. I texted the numbers (both of the them 345 and the 925) asking where i needed to go to pick up my reservation, was asked what my order number was and when i provided that and a screen shot of the order confirmation there was no response. The other number responded informing me the price i reserved at had TRIPLED and asked if I wanted to keep my reservation -- seeing as how i had already made plans for the day and had people en route to my house i reluctantly said yes and asked where do i go.....NO RESPONSE. I finally ask a guys that is carting one sack at a time to peoples cars and he said i need to talk to his boss, so i followed him inside. The boss asked my order number and f i was the one who texted him and then told me to wait. he asked if i only wanted one sack, i advised no, we reserved 2 and need 2. HE REFUSED TO HONOR MY RESERVATION. Said they didn't get a good haul and there were too many people (walk-ins) waiting in line. So not only did you increase the rate from $2.75 to $6.00 per pound, i had to wait an hour, and still did not get what i came for. This is very poor business practice and i will not be returning. I find it very convenient that you make us wait until you know where one else is sold out, hike up the price and limit how much I get. This is price gouging, not market fluctuation. Avoid this place at all cost, or it will cost you....
NOTE - i tried to also leave a review with the BBB, no business exists in their records, go figure. I sent the business info to the BBB along...
Read moreI typically don't write negative reviews but this one needed to be posted. Purchased 195 lbs on Wed and upon washing them Thurs morning over half were dead. Owner had plenty of reasons that seemed to be mine. Since I was purchasing these for an event in Dallas I had no time to go back to store and deal with this. So, headed to another local vendor (GO Crawfish) who not only helped me sort through my entire order to figure what was dead vs alive, but was able to supply the lbs I needed to cover my losses. When informing Best Crawfish today and sending pictures he tried to only credit me with 2 sacks and after some back a forth offered up 3 sack but the kicker was I had to pick them up this weekend. I suggested I pick them up in two weeks when I have another event but couldn't agree. I have zero events this weekend so instead of taking him up and going further in the hole having to buy supplies to do a boil I decided to just cut my losses and cut ties with purchasing for vendor in the future. Again, I've some good experiences with the vendor but this event was the straw! Hope this post was helpful to those who are considering to do business with Best Crawfish so you know what you're potentially...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience. I made a reservation for crawfish at $3.75/lb, as advertised, and planned a gathering based on that price. When I arrived for pickup, they suddenly told me I had to pay $6.00/lb or they would sell my order to the next person in line. At that point, I had guests already at my place, and I was forced to either cancel my party or overpay for overpriced crawfish.
This is blatant price gouging and completely unprofessional. If they had told me it was $10/lb, I still wouldn’t have had a choice because my plans were set. This kind of shady business practice is unacceptable. Do not trust them with your business unless you want to be blindsided and overcharged.
NOW imagine you pay cc surcharge on top of overpriced crawfish.
I would never go back, and you should definitely avoid this place if you don’t want to be...
