If I could give this place 0 stars I would.. I have never written a review before however, I have never experienced worse customer service than the customer service my family and I received here at lunch today. I asked our waitress if I could order the general tso chicken and she advised me that it was spicy which I said was okay. Moments later she brought me my order where I tried the chicken. I was surprised that it so potently tasted and smelled of orange (I do not like oranges which is why I did not order the orange chicken) so I called the waitress over as I was positive there may have been a mistake. When I asked if there had possibly been a mix up with my order she proceeded to argue with me. I asked politely if I could change my order since I was not happy with my meal and she told me no and proceeded to argue with my family and I. She did not remove the charges for the meal either. Do not come here if you’re trying to have a nice, peaceful meal with your family during your lunch break because they will not try to work with you if you don’t like something about your meal and they will argue with you during most of the duration of your break. Most disappointing service...
Read moreI usually have great experiences ordering from this restaurant through Uber Eats—it’s been my go-to for Pho, Vietnamese sandwiches, and the orange chicken plate. The food has always been delicious, fresh, and well-packaged. But this time, the quality was shockingly bad.
The orange chicken was inedible. Instead of the usual bright, flavorful sauce, it had a dark, burnt taste that made it hard to even take a second bite. The rice was soggy and had a strange sour flavor, which made the entire dish unappetizing.
The Vietnamese sandwich was also disappointing. While the meat itself was fine, it was served cold, and the carrots inside had a slimy texture with a sweet, almost rancid taste that completely ruined the sandwich.
The Pho was the only thing that wasn’t terrible—it arrived cold, but that was at least something we could fix at home, and the flavor was still decent.
I’m genuinely surprised by how bad this order was because we’ve had consistently good food from this place before. I hope this was just a one-off mistake, but it was disappointing enough that I had to...
Read moreThis is probably one of the best pho places you can get around Jersey village. If you’re considering this place based on reviews, do disregard any reviews from 2 years+ as those reviews talk about a completely different restaurant under completely different management (think it was called Pho Town?).
Anyways back to the food - this is one of the few places where the broth is similar to pho you’d get in Vietnam (I’ve had another place but that was all the way in DC Pho75 lovers wya?).
Pho - 10/10 Broth is light yet flavorful. Noodles aren’t overcooked in the slightest. Gives a good amount of meat if ordered.
Bun bo Hue - 9/10 Only had it once but the broth was very rich and light as well. You get more of the rich bone flavor rather than an over powering lemongrass flavor. In addition, the spice level is just the right amount. My only negative critique about this dish was that they used pho noodles instead of the usual noodles you find in bun bo hue.
Gonna come back...
