About 3 years ago I traded my Crash Bandicoot PS1 game in here for $40 in store credit. Then I used the in store credit to get a copy of Star Wars Battlefront 2 for PS2 that they had there at the time. I brought home the Star Wars game, and immediately upon putting it in to my dismay my PS2 couldn't read the disc at all. After immediately returning, and informing him that he had sold me a broken game, and that I'd like my Crash Bandicoot game back, and he can have his broken Star Wars game that he sold me back. He tried to turn around, and tell me I was gonna have to pay $40 dollars for my game back. After hassling him about how it says on there website they test all there games, and that's false advertisement. He eventually just gave me my game back, and told me to leave his store. I told him that's fine, and that I'd never come back there ever again, and haven't returned since. I also found the star wars battlefront 2 in great condition at games plus for much cheaper than game over was selling it for anyways, and it actually worked 😆 They were also much more kind, and friendly than the individual I dealt with here at Game Over Videogames. So it all worked out for me in the end. But I'll never return here nor recommend anybody to do business with these unfriendly,...
Read moreThe only reason I am giving this place a two star rating is the fact that they have a nice selection of games. However, who's to say that's actually their selection? My boyfriend and I were on the hunt for some Xbox games and came across this place while in the Houston area. It was 40 minutes from where we were and we decided to make the drive. There was only one guy working the counter. We browsed a good bit and my boyfriend found a game he wanted to purchase. We waited for him to finish up with the people in front of us (about 10-15 minutes) After waiting for the salesman to finalize a sale with the three people in front of us, we sat there waiting again for about another 5 minutes just to be told the game we wanted to purchase wasn't in store and it must have gotten misplaced during their move from some vendor even they recently had" all the guy could say was "sorry" offered no solution whatsoever. Sorry didn't put the game in our hand or offer our time and gas wasted back. Disappointing first time experience. Would have definitely been back if it weren't for this. But they lost a...
Read moreHave to hands down give the white guy that works in the morning a shout out, forgot his name but he wears glasses, and usually bright colored clothing. Anyways dude always has a answer for my question and a price that follows. Now for the actual review for this place, I'd say I mostly like it because they have just about almost all the things you would need for almost any console if your collector plus a decent size library of games. Could use more gamecube games but as for the rest for collection it's pretty vast. The only thing I didn't really like was they weren't able to transfer products between stores , so for instance if one of there stores near Baytown/Galveston i believe had a copy of game I was looking to get they couldn't have it delivered to there location to save me the trip but I assume because it's a relatively small business some things just aren't possible. On another note they do seem to have some rare games in-stock at a decent price almost as competitive as Amazon. The upside you can actually test and resurface any games they have before...
