During my recent visit to JINYA, I had the pleasure of being served by Allison, and her exceptional service truly enhanced the entire dining experience. From the moment we entered the restaurant, she made a lasting impression with her warm and welcoming demeanor. In an age where good service can sometimes feel like a rare commodity, Allison's attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm stood out in a way that transformed an ordinary meal into something truly memorable.
Allison greeted us with a bright smile and immediately made us feel at ease. She offered us a menu with a thorough explanation of the offerings, which was especially helpful given that JINYA has such a wide variety of dishes. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she effortlessly navigated us through the options, suggesting some of her personal favorites while also catering to our specific preferences. It was clear she was not just trying to upsell, but rather trying to make sure we had the best possible experience based on our tastes.
Throughout the meal, Allison struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us the space to enjoy our time. She checked in just enough to ensure everything was to our liking, without being intrusive. Each dish arrived promptly, and she was quick to refill drinks, offering additional condiments and making sure we had everything we needed. Even though the restaurant was busy, Allison’s service never wavered—she handled multiple tables with efficiency and a positive attitude, showing impressive multitasking skills without ever seeming rushed or flustered.
One of the things that really stood out to me was Allison’s ability to anticipate our needs. At one point, I mentioned that I liked my ramen a bit spicier, and within minutes, she returned with extra chili paste without me having to ask. It’s little touches like this that can really elevate a dining experience, and Allison seemed to have a genuine care for her customers' satisfaction.
As our meal came to an end, Allison made sure to check in one last time, ensuring that we were completely satisfied before we left. She wished us well and made the final moments of our visit just as pleasant as the rest. Her cheerful personality and professional approach made it clear that she’s not just doing her job—she’s passionate about providing great service and making her customers feel special.
In the world of dining, service is just as important as the food itself, and Allison truly exemplified the kind of service that makes a visit to JINYA stand out. Her warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism made our experience unforgettable, and I will undoubtedly be returning soon, hoping to have the pleasure of being served by her again. If you're planning to visit JINYA, I highly recommend requesting Allison—her exceptional service will certainly make your meal that...
Read moreI'm updating my review to highlight the excellent service we received today. Alexis took the very best care of us. She was so warm, friendly and engaging.
She really knows her stuff. She highlighted the drink of the day, which we passed on but appreciated nonetheless.
I always have a handful of modifications for my order, and she handled them like a champ.
My two favorite things she did today were to keep our table clear of trash (straw and chopstick wrappers, sugar packet, etc.) and dirty plates; and she told us to stir our ramen from the bottom up.
Now, I love ramen, and I eat here often, but nobody has ever told me to stir my bowl that way! It made an already great meal that much better, which, considering how much I love this place, is hard to believe.
All in all, Alexis was an absolute all-star, and I wish her nothing but the best.
Jinya is my happy place. I love to dine alone at the bar when I have time to kill.
I order my favorite items, read my current book on my Kindle and spend some time in noodle heaven.
I also love to visit with my spouse or my friends.
These days, I have two go-to menu items.
The pork gyoza are such a texture treat with a crispy finish and doughy softness beautifully contrasting each other.
I enjoy the gyoza sauce that's on the table with some spicy sauce and red chili oil in it.
My favorite ramen is the spicy miso ramen with thick noodles.
The noodles, OMG.
Without fail, every time, they're perfectly cooked and have the most delightful toothy texture that never ceases to soothe my soul whether it's 110 degrees outside or 40.
I always add butter, garlic and chili oil to the broth, which itself is a liquid version of your favorite PJs and fluffy slippers on a cold and rainy night, no matter what the actual weather is like.
The servers are knowledgeable and always treat me well. Even though I always (politely) ask for modifications, they're patient with me, and I never have to worry about mistakes.
This menu offers so much for so many pallets, including vegetarian and vegan options.
Do yourself a tasty favor and stop by for a magical...
Read moreSo lucky that thru a friend I get to go on their soft opening night. Am I IMPRESSED! It's a group of us foodies and we ordered almost everything on their menu, NOTHING failed me at all. They play pretty exciting music trendy enough to match the décor of the restaurant. I was in love with the interior design, its hip, upscale and trendy. The layout of the place makes it look pretty spacious. Once I went in I was excited about getting my food.
Fried pot stickers have the most thin skin, big meatball inside, very soft. And when you take the first bite, there's juicy coming out, almost like Chinese Xiao longbao. its so hard to do for such a thin skin.
Shrimp toast is something I first had in Houston area. The only other place I ever tried was in china. And Jinya's are amazing. Its very toasty when they bring it. The toast is soft yet crispy, the sauce on the side makes the toast even better. We had two orders. LOL.
Pork belly buns are amazing. The buns are sweet and the pork belly is soft and juicy, perfect together, but not to much fat makes you feel overwhelmed.
Unlike other place their Taco teriyaki balls are pretty soft, not too chewy, even though I like them bit more chewy, but the softness has its own flavor. I can eat it without the sauce on the bottom, that's who flavorful the balls are.
I like my ramen have more texture so I asked for advise, cant remember which one they brought me, but I just love love love the chewy texture in it. Bravo. Soup are very flavorful, super rich, must took them a long time to brew to this level.
My waiter was so handsome and super attentive, I think he refilled my friend's coke 5 times the entire time we were there. Food came in very fast one after another, we almost had no down time. Maybe that's why by the time we were done, we all feel supper blowded. But its GOOD blowded. LOL. Worth the 2 lb I put on myself. We absolutely had nothing to complain about. But enjoyed the whole time while...
