The Generalist: General Store & Retail Collective — Attraction in Johnson City

This was my first time at this store. I ventured downtown with a plan to go inside. I absolutely loved all of the homemade items from local businesses. The store is inviting from the moment you walk in. It has two sides to it and is much bigger than it appears. I bought food, candy, stickers, and wax melts. My child is obsessed with her mood ring we bought and has t taken it off since. Oh the nostalgia. The wax melt smells absolutely fantastic. I bought the last scent of it and will be back for more from the local maker located in Bluff City, TN! Each little station is marked with the small business name either by card or another way. You know exactly who you’re buying from and what. The store had a decent amount of customers the entire time we were in there. I’d say we snooped around for a good 30-40 mins. The employee was very knowledgeable on products I asked about and so sweet! The location is great minus those that want to blast their music and rattle the windows in the store. It’s so rude to the store and customers. Drivers should really give that a thought while downtown. Love, love, love this place and will definitely rely be back! It is great for all ages! I did love to shop here and look around, a cool store and many interesting and unique things. Be careful asking to use the bathroom if you look a certain way or have certain tattoos because one lady in particular there will treat you differently and say no among other things but if you look "normal" then feel free to ask and be able to use the bathroom. Just saying and stating the facts because I have never been treated like that in other businesses and places downtown, otherwise the store is usually a great place to go to and look around and shop depending on who's working there and things of that nature, this is all true and a...
