The Port of Kalama Marine Park is a beautiful spot with great views, and it’s one of the few places around that’s pet-friendly, which is a big plus. The park is generally well-maintained, and most visitors respect the natural environment, creating a calm and clean space to enjoy the outdoors. However, it's really the only good location in Kalama where kids of all ages can get outside and be active, and it’s frustrating that outdoor activities like roller skating, and bike riding, are prohibited. Just like being in the water is at your own risk, these activities should be treated the same way, allowing families—including their pets—to enjoy the park to its fullest. It’s a real missed opportunity to make this space more inclusive and engaging for everyone, especially younger visitors. While it's a nice place to relax, the restrictions on active outdoor fun for families are disappointing. Sure the playground equipment is good for the elementary crowd, but beyond that, your option is walking, jogging, running. As Kalama grows, I look forward to more opportunity for the community to engage in active hobbies in...

It had:
•bathrooms / restrooms
•An amphitheater with (plenty of seating) beautiful music
(& has a good large open area for everyone to dance, good place for birthdays - anniversaries - family reunions/get togethers- nice quiet parties. Actually would be a good place for clean comedy/standup too.),
•a nice playground (already wet from body surfing so lost the slide race, butt stuck (well honestly it's probably cause I'm (sick 'n') getting old also & young whippersnappers are fast)...try again next time...maybe.....) with nice swings, multiple options on places to have picnic including
•covered area (in case you're not a native Oregonian & scared of rain, or don't want to dance in rain.....or if you burn easy....) with picnic tables
it was sunny & saw beautiful (• totem poles - people (nice lovely diversity) - boats &) sunset (have to paint it (& shipwreck beach) after/if i feel a little better, no 1 wants a painting with puke - stuff on it.) while having picnic after playing &...

Wow! This Park was amazing; and we hardly spent anytime on the playground. It's right on the Columbia River, so we spent most of the time playing on the beach! It's sandy and has a few large logs to climb on. Also, who can say no to big boats, and big trains (right next to train tracks!)
This park has 6 swings (4 big kid and 2 toddler).
It has two different play structures.
Play structure one. -2 slides, lilly pad steps, stairs, restaurant, bubble window, peg board race, stearing wheel and 3 letter word generator.
Play structure two is HUGE! -4 slides, several different types of ladders, money bars, stairs, bridges, tunnels, stearing wheel and fire pole.
This park also has an stage, a covered picnic area, benches, grassy areas, 3 single stall bathrooms, drinking fountain, walking path along the river, and to top it off, 3 large...
