Wow! Gazelle Sports just helped save my date with my wife! (-: I have one of the most amazing wives that just goes out for a run and before you know it she's in the next town after 10 miles! After her last little venture like this, I told her this week that I wanted to take her on a date to buy her some new running shoes! With not much time to get to Gazelle's (especially since it was over a 1/2 hour away), we bolted out the door and drove up there as i was praying that God would help us get there in time and the people wouldn't mind helping us so late. I then called in as I was driving with only about 10 minutes until they were to close to let them know we were about 5 minutes away, and the nice manager lady Nikki was super nice and even looked while I was on hold to make sure they had the running shoes my wife was looking for. Sure enough they did, and she said to not worry about the time and just cone on in. When we got there another nice lady named Tracy patiently helped my wife for over a half hour at least, and wouldn't stop going up and down the stairs to pull out over 12 pairs of shoes until my wife found the perfect pair (all the while making us not feel rushed!)! At the checkout, both Nikki and Tracy were again super patient and nice, completing one of the best experiences we have ever had with a shoe purchase (or any shopping experience for that matter)! P.S. I even asked if at the checkout of they had any good dress shoe insoles, since my feet were hurting, and Tracy willingly came over and worked with me to pick some out and add them to our order! What a great lady, and great store! If you want great shoes with even greater customer experience, treat yourself to a date at...
Read moreI love going to this store. I've never had a bad experience. Well...I was looking for a new pair of shoes for work and chose to go back to Gazelle. I had a good talk with the specialist that comes in between 6-7. He brought me out and gave me to a salesperson. I think my dry humor may have set this person on the wrong foot. Regardless, I needed help. After a few jaded comments I started to feel a little awkward. Got down to the final minutes and the person brought me the box of the shoe I was thinking of purchasing. They gestured to the box, told me to take a picture and told me to go online to the manufacturer and make my purchase. In my mind, I was confused. Didn't you want my sale? The person walked away and went about bringing in signs from outside etc. I'm not only disappointed, but will not be going back again. Regardless of how late it is, or whether you like a person, or they make jokes, you have a responsibility to your customer. You are a reflection of the store. So, to the person who helped me, I hope you have a better day and treat customers with more kindness. You never know what is going on with the person...
Read moreI HATE shoe shopping, especially with sales people.. I’m sorry, but it’s true! I become a people pleaser and just start saying yes. Not gonna lie, I’ve gone here before and ran into that issue… however……. Game changer, SAIRI! She is so fun, informative, and really helped me pick out a proper pair of shoes. I am a nurse with 9 years of experience working those 12’s and I full on refused hoka’s. I refused anything without a cute color and I refused I wore anything bigger than an 8. And today I was between hoka’s and WHITE BORING SHOES (they were on cloud so I was walking on a cloud). The key was she never looked down on my opinion! She listened, but obviously knew what was best for my feet. She even talked me into a size 9 because I do have wide feet. However, the shoes she had me try on were subtle and didn’t make me feel like a clown. Sairi was so nice and genuine. I felt like I was with a friend. I said this out loud in the store and I’ll say it again, she deserves a raise! She did the unthinkable… beat my stubbornness and made me feel comfortable...
