LADYCO Brookside — Attraction in Kansas City

I was referred to this store by a work acquaintance based on a dress she was wearing that she had purchased here. Upon entering, my wife and I were greeted promptly, politely, and passionately. The two younger girls working on 6/28/2025 were knowledgeable, kind, and professional. They suggested dresses and fit sizes, accessories, and gave us advice/pointers all while remaining professional, energetic, and polite. While maintaining excellent customer service they also stayed busy in their tasks of putting back clothes and redistributing racks where needed.

In addition to the already great customer service, we were offered wine (for free) during our shopping experience. Just another reason to love this place and its environment. Soon enough every customer in the dressing room area was engaged in conversation and enjoying each others company while shopping and trying on new clothes. The experience we had shopping at this store was something my wife and I had never experienced among total strangers. It was unique, genuine, and what shopping should be.

I decided to do a fast walk thru to see if I could get something for a date night. I had my two toddlers with me in our double stroller which always leaves me on edge and makes me feel like I have to move quick. THE STAFF TOOK AWAY ALL MY ANXIETY! One person went over unprompted and got my kids stuff to color with. Another person helped me as quickly as I was moving. They were so welcoming and made me feel like I had options I wouldn’t normally consider (offered to bring my stroller back to the dressing rooms). It’s encounters like this that leave me so relieved and grateful to people who are willing to make you feel validated and not like a burden. I went shopping for my wife at Lady Co. just before Christmas. The stock was very nice and the staff very helpful. I wound up spending a couple hundred dollars for my wife. The problem is, because I am always uncertain about what my wife will or will not like, I made sure she could return the items if she wanted to. In fact, she loved the look of them, but because she is a petite, they did not fit properly. But when she tried to return the items - with receipts - she was told that I had been told that only store credit was available. That was a bold faced lie - I was told the opposite.
