T. Jin’s China Café — Restaurant in Texas

We ordered for a delivery and where promised our order in 30-40mins. We called the restaurant back at 45mins and were told the driver had already left and would arrive shortly. We called again 25mins later because at that point we were worried something happen to the driver since we are atmost 13mins away from the restaurant. The person who answered the phone called the driver and he confirmed he was still 10mins away. I explained to the person who answered the phone that I wanted to cancel the order because either we were lied to about the driver leaving almost 30mins earlier or for sure the food would arrive cold. The restaurant was very rude and upset that we wanted to cancel because the driver had to make other deliveries besides ours. We usually like eating food from Tjins but, with their resistance to want to refund our cancelled order and unwillingness to right their wrong, I’m not sure we will continue ordering from them, which is a shame because we usually order from them on a...

We usually order delivery but decided to dine in for lunch. I wanted Moo Goo Gai Pan but waitress said their Mushroom Chicken was same. (It's not) Also ordered Hot&Sour soup. The waitress brought egg drop soup--so I asked her to take it back. Finally got the right one but The soup was very bland-- not hot and missing the "tangy" taste it should have. I asked that the chicken be cooked well-- I even said "overcooked" is good. The waitress thought that was funny. Evidently the cook didn't get the message.. I ate mostly the rice & some veggies & brought the rest home intending to just cook the chicken pieces more to my taste. But---- it never changed textures. No matter how long I continued to cook it, it remained "wet" and mushy and never took on the look of cooked white meat chicken. Now I'm thinking it could be artificial "chicken" kind of like fake crab meat.. whatever it was it never changed, it never cooked more, never dried out like...

I have ordered from this location plenty of times. I ordered shrimp fried rice and general's chicken. Came home and tasted the rice, which was supposed to have an extra egg on top that they say they scrambled it in the rice. I couldn't tell, but the rice was old, cold, and dry. So I called and they tried to make it right by sending a driver with a new order of rice. It was a little warmer with an egg on top but still dry. The chicken was definitely not fresh and not eatable. What took the cake for me is the owner sent the driver back to pick up the first order of rice, poor driver was like I don't care but the owner wants me to bring the first order.
