This is a small yet modern hotel. Excellent location if you plan on spending sometime in Koke’e State Park. There are some nice beaches nearby and for any birder a visit to the water bird wetland will be very rewarding. We were able to check in early since the room was ready and the management upgraded us (without us asking) to a room with a full kitchen ( besides a large refrigerator and a microwave we had a full size electric stove). We had a small issue with the tv after reception was closed. I called the number provided and management got back to me quickly. Those are the reasons for giving them an A for costumer service. The room was spacious and everything was very clean. The kitchen appliances were new. The Ac was a bit noisy but it worked well (this is not to be taken for granted in Hawaii-many properties do not have ac or if they do it may not work well). There is also a fan over the bed if you do not want to use the ac. The king size bed was very comfortable. The place was pretty quiet and we slept very well. WiFi worked well. Plenty of towels provided. The hotel is close to stores and restaurants and next to the hotel is a fishing pier that is a great place to watch the sunset over the ocean. We enjoyed the more relaxed atmosphere in Waimea and were very satisfied with this hotel.
