Terrible Experience- Racial Profiling and rude management.

My shopping experience went well no complaints in that area. Five below is one of my favorite stores and the location is very convenient since it is in a shopping center. (Target, Dollar Tree and Jersey Mikes and other stores also) The issue started while at check out, there was only one person at the register and the young man was professional and polite. I would also like to state that the security podium is right in the front. Anyway while he is checking me out and I am going to pay. A team member names Alexis walks out the way to come to the front through the exit lane and says, “Are you going to pay for your other stuff?” I turn to see what she is talking about and I see that she looking at my other purchases from target and dollar tree. That are bagged in tote bags at the bottom of the two tiered shopping cart. (I only used the first tier of the shopping cart) and placed my others bags (3 totes) at the bottom because they were heavy. This is bedsides the point as security did not ask to look in my bags. When Alexis questioned I simply said, “ Those items were purchased somewhere else” and instead of her just dropping it or apologizing for the misunderstanding she went further and said, “ what about the slim Jim’s.” Which only confirms that she is implying that I am stealing. The slim Jim’s in question were the regular sized Tabasco flavor, while five below does sell the same flavor and brand they only carry the jumbo sticks and the ones I had were the regular sized one. I once again stated, “ these were purchased somewhere else, I have the recipe.” She then just walks away because she realizes that the bag contains snacks and they are dollar tree brands. Alexis simply should have apologized and walked away and I wouldn’t even have wrote this review but she didn’t. I was just going to leave and drop it but it is unacceptable to profile someone and then not apologize when proven wrong because not only have you made me uncomfortable but your ruin my experience in the store. So I turned around and then ask for a manger. Maybe 5 minutes had passed and I truly believe that Alexis went to inform the manger of the situation because the manger automatically came to the front with an attitude. While I was trying to explain she was dismissive and her body language was off as she was shrugging her shoulder and she would not speak directly to me. I told her I wanted to make a complaint against Alexis and she said she could not take complaints based on employees which sounds false to me. I said okay no problem I will be calling to complaint and she just walked away then walked towards Alexis and started laughing. Because of this experience I will not shop at...

Very Unfortunate that I have to write this review. Usually I have had an enjoyable time. But as of August 2025, a select crew member who name is Alexis and the current store manager who works during the evening hours, she was there today at 1 pm showed lack of professionalism and accountability has brought me to conclusion I will no longer be going to this store. Today I went to the store which is on the strip of a number of stores , So when I went into the establishment I had bags from target, etc. As I'm paying for my things at the register Alexis comes up to my cart and looks in my bag and asks if I want to pay for that too. After telling her it was bought at another store she pointed in my bag and said what about that. After I already explained the first time she questioned me again, at this point I knew I was being profiled. She did not correct her behavior by saying excuse me for the misunderstanding or anything, she walked a way as I was talking to her. When asked to speak the manager the manager shrugged her shoulders and said she couldn't take customer complaints and laughed and walked away with the employee I made complaints about. Very unprofessional and unnecessary actions on both of their parts. I will no longer be...

Never really shopped here before...BUT...found some really good gems! For just $5, you can really get some cute items. I bought a $5 table! Omg!! In an adorable mint green. But the selection of colors was amazing (green, blue, white, black). They aren't wood, yet a thin metal but absolutely great decor! The quality in the items are about the same or a notch up from dollar tree but I mean, at $5, you can really get some adorable items for home or gifts. The had books, incense, toys, candy, seasonal, games...I even found a weighted blanket for a toddler! I mean...I seriously have been looking for 1 for my grandson, for about a month, for a reasonable price. Well...look no more, I found it! Granted it was the last 1, I still scored! I guess many items go REALLY fast so you would probably have to frequent often to score the best of what they offer...but I mean...it's pretty awesome! I'll DEFINITELY...
