First time riding a speed boat and had fun! Staff were friendly and the girl dancing in the front really committed to the performance and had lots of energy, even though the boat wasn't completely full. The soundtrack was very catchy. You will definitely get wet during the fast turns, no matter where you sit. Heading out of the harbor and back in you also have a beautiful view of the coastline and the bay. You buy tickets onsite, at a booth right behind where the boat is anchored. Ride times are posted there, and I think the frequency of ride times depends on how busy it is at the boardwalk, it's not running continuously. I was on the water around 20 minutes. The only thing I would recommend against is buying the rain poncho they offer. Since the ride is so fast, the ponchos of the guests in front of me were just blowing behind them only attached to their necks, and they got as wet as if they hadn't worn anything. I chose to wear a heavier zip up rain jacket which kept me somewhat drier, but my pants were still drenched and water even spilled down from my neck, so be prepared. Best on a hot day but lots of fun even on a cold spring day. Must try...
Read moreWhile boarding this vessel, I distinctly told two female deckhands we wanted driest seating on boat PLENTY OF SEATING ROOM AVAILABLE. Both assured us go to the bow “ it’s the best place to keep dryer”. A hot shower and fresh change of clothes later……r we having fun yet! I had a lively chat with the Skipper before disembarking. I explained to him I was still on heavy antibiotics for a sinus infection and had a Very Good reason for Not Being Drenched. He explained “it is a wet boat”…..DUH ! I said, I get it, but if you see a 70 year old boarding and asking for the driest seat, please don’t steer him to the WETTEST SEATS! Capt. said he’d talk to his girls. I’ll hold my...
Read moreThis was a waste of $20. I asked the workers where the best place to sit was. They said the middle to the front. I asked, "So the front is good?" They said, "Yes". I sat in the front and it was no more than a regular jet boat ride. It wasn't very bumpy and they didn't do a lot of maneuvers. You have to sit at least 2 or 3 rows back in order to get the effect of the "water wall". At least that's what I'm calling it. No one told me about this before I went on. I had to keep turning around to see what was going on. This was something on my bucket list and I'm extremely...
