Kemah Escape — Hotel in Kemah

We drove from EIGHT hours away. Got to Kemah at 10pm and received a message for condo 7 when we had booked condo 4. We noticed someone already in condo 7 so we tried to call whoever is running the place and recieved no answer and were left without a place to stay for the night, we were on our HONEYMOON and could not pay extra for a room at a hotel nearby. We ended up sleeping in our CAR because we had no way to get into the room we booked, #4. The next day we received a message saying that we had been relocated, BUT we had not received a confirmation and we did not okay being relocated when we originally booked condo #4. The manager or who ever is running the place (Matt) is unprofessional and rude. I also noticed roaches running inside the room, ONCE WE were able to sort things out with RUDE unprofessional Matt. The beds are what you would expect out of your cheap $30 motels, stained and uncomfortable sheets and mattress. Another thing is that the permanent neighbors around the buildings are very creepy, example: when we parked in front of the building at 10pm some random guy was at the drivers side door, leaning on my car like he owned it, before we even put the car in park. My wife was driving so I immediately got out and asked him what he wanted. He immediately backed off the car door as I approached him. Police sirens went off every night in front of the property and kept us up (people speeding or just being loud and rude). Matt also claimed to have communications with my wife that never occurred such as a late check in (we didn't plan to be late) and multiply attempts to contact me (these never occurred) and he never once apologized when I told him it would have been nice to be notified about being relocated. Also, there is no way to contact these people in case of emergency after their business hours. I recommend looking for a different place to stay other than this place, it will not be worth your time or hard earned money, you deserve much better and we did as well. Sorely...

We just got back from staying 2 nights at the Kemah Escape. We were in condo #6 bottom floor. It was my husband and I and my 2 year old. The entire condo was spotless clean. I was very impressed with the filtered water on the fridge! Fresh baked goods were already there when we checked in on Friday. It was supposed to be delivered daily but we never received our 2nd basket. King bed in master room was comfy with plenty of bedding. Couch in living room pulled out to a queen size. It was great size condo for only a few more dollars than staying at a local hotel. Full sized kitchen with stove and oven if you wanted to cook in. Also, literally walking distance to lots of bars and boardwalk!! Each condo has a huge, screened in porch with a ceiling fan. Each unit also has it's own private hot tub! The only downside to condo #6, is it's tucked away on the back "patio" not the nice screened in front patio so that was kinda funky. Our friends stayed upstairs in condo #7 and their hot tub is on the front screened in porch. There condo also had beautiful high ceilings! If you had a choice, I would def stay upstairs and make sure to ask if hot tub is on the front patio! Also, they say they have WIFI but the signal was so weak, our phones wouldn't even pick it up. ...

My husband and I booked 2 nights at the Kemah Escape for our anniversary. The day of check in they let us know they had to change our room cause the hot tub wasn't working (which was fine) but the room they put us in was very dirty you could tell it hadn't been cleaned we talked to the office lady the next day cause no one was on site when we arrived the first night. She said she would talk to the owner and see if she could do a credit. The office wasn't open the next day so we e mailed them and still haven't heard anything from them and it's now 3 days later. They sure don't take care of there customers. They should of come up and cleaned the room right when it was brought to there attention instead she just said oh there's a collage girl who stays in that room 3 days a week and she's very messy. Errrrrr!!! I had to clean fecies off the toilet, there was a clearance tag in the bed when my husband pulled back the covers, some change on the floor, my husband had to look around for the remote and found it under the bed with someones bra and 2 other remotes, the fridge had stuff spilt all over, & there was dust on stuff that should of...
